If all you want to do is fly club TD contests just stick some servos in it and go fly. :) It was about 5 years ago a Lovesong won at Visalia.

The issue with the Windsong is the lack of a spar...

You can do that, but it can be a bit of work to plug and unplug. A little more elegant solution is to plug the battery into an aileron extension, it takes up less room but is easier to connect.

I have a couple of Lovesong and Pivot kits around, I plan on converting one of each to electric. Both planes do pretty well with a little weight, electric shouldn't be a problem. I would avoid too...

Chip, looks like a good bird. The lovesongs are hard to beat, even now. Once you fly one nothing else is ever the same. :D

My father had a Cumic with ailerons, this is the way to go. The Cumic is a little faster than some of the other poly birds out there, the ailerons make it a lot easier to fly. It will still thermal...

Nope, it doesnt work. I recut at the pond and it works, but not real well. I am going to order some new ones from Tower tonight. Also broke the rudder today :)
