This is just my two cents worth but with that much of an investment i wouldnt risk relying on there possibly being flotation built in i would put in some more because once it sinks its not always...

Hey mate one of the first upgrades you should do is get a killer bee kill switch it you dont have one already it will save you a lot of hassle from run aways etc , as for temps best to just run it...

Im no expert but if their still working fine i would just use them for now and upgrade them later but in saying that what type of battery are you using nimh , nicd , or lipo .
