RE: Changes?

Can engines be converted to use real diesel? Would it be a waste because of the potential in the fuel or is there some other reason? I've seen gas conversions and Davis heads (faux diesel), but...

RE: LT-40 Century Model

I love my LT-40. I agree 100% with the above mods. No dihedral, dragger, bolt on wing, dual aileron servos are a must if you plan on doing anything but a lazy pattern or loops. With a computer...

RE: .46 on LT-40, can it prop hang?

Regardless of ability to hover an LT-40, I would go with a 50 sized OS, Irvine, or Magnum etc. As stated above, this is a big plane and the extra power comes in handy during that period leading up...

RE: <span class=

When oh when will Quantum send the Big Brown truck to my house? I've been waiting over 3 weeks for my 2 52s and I'm ready to put No Vacancy signs in the noses of my Twist and Edge Profile.

RE: Saito 91 or OS 50SX for Twist?

The 50sx is awesome, no doubt, but if you are leaning towards Saito and more power why not the new 82. Its lighter, will fit much better and has the same power as the 91. On the other hand, if you...

RE: balancing ultra stick???

Forget adding lead to the tail. Mount the rudder servo just in front of the vertical stabiler and use pull-pull to control the rudder/tail wheel. Then, mount the elevator servo to the side of the...

RE: Twist 3d building/flight report

I would be willing to bet that since there does not appear to be coupling in level flight that its a balance issue. On a plane this small, the weight of the engine head could be enough to induce a...

RE: Taco - FAT FREE

Paul,

Any pics of the E-Taco? I was thinking more along the lines of a shocky, but build-up would be cool too.

RE: Taco - FAT FREE

Anybody tried to build a depron Flat Taco yet? Paul, gator I know you guys are doing the foam electrics, this one seems like it would be a natural for conversion. Any thoughts?

RE: Scale Flat Foam Flip 3D

Errol,

I know you are going into sales mode and have contract issues, so would you mind if I had someone email me the free V2 plans? Seemed appropriate to ask permission first.

RE: Spectra Module

Fact is every Tx/Module combination, same brand or not, will vary in both width and strength. We had an incident this weekend where a guy with an 8U on dedicated module (channel 52) that had just...

RE: Ultra Stick 40 fixing it before you build?

I can't emphasize it enough, GLASS THE FIREWALL!!! Pin the wing bolt block. Replace the landing gear bolts with 1/4-20 nylon bolts. Put the rudder servo on top of the fuse just in front of the...

RE: stripped muffler bolts

Provided that you didn't use permanent locktite, go to Home Depot or Harbor Freight and pick up a couple Screw-Outs for your hand drill. You may need an extension if it is a tight fit, but they will...

RE: Should we begin to look into new radio technology for RC use?

The change is coming guys. Wireless technology is moving too fast. All it will take is one or two of the TOC boys to say the word. Do you think that they wouldn't give their left thumb to have a...

I have used 1/2 gallon vinegar and ammonia bottles and both work well. For a field box there is nothing better than a Plano 737 tackle box from Wal-Mart or Academy. Check it out. You do have to...

I don't know how much the Deans cost, but I just found Futaba J connectors for $.75 at servocity.com and the shipping is free to boot. I think I just found my new favorite site for RC electronics.

RE: Futaba 6EXA or 6XAS or Something else??

Give the 9c tx only a look at servocity.com. I'm looking at that option myself. I was pretty smart and started with the 6x, but I soon found myself wanting more servos and programmable mixes. I...

RE: Futaba 6XAs and spoilerons

I have mine set for flaperons. If I trim down on ch 6 I get flaps and if I trim up I have spoilers. That's pretty much it. Its all in how you set the 6 to 1 and 1 to 6 mixes.

RE: A thought on the trainer cord switch

How about lets get to the area where they really screw all of us. J connectors and extensions. They take a $.10 part and ream us for $5 or $6 a pop and basically only give you a choice of two...

RE: Something happened to me at the airfield that prompted this question

OK experts, how about this one. I loaned a guy who was buddy boxing my backup radio, and even though it was turned off my plane (in the pits) responded to his input. It stopped when I flipped my tx...
