Just an update to this post. I have quite a few flights on the MUS now and have had no problems with any of the electronics. The only change I have made was to remove the stock electric connectors...

The Mountain Models foam planes look interesting, both the Magpie Sport and Panic. I would lean toward the Panic but then maybe the Magpie Sport would be easier....

ESC is EFLA7310 - 22 amp with voltage cut set for 3 cell lipo it cannot be programmed for other batteries, the brake is set to off and is also not programmable.

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like 4 strokes are not for helis. To bad, I was thinking the lower noise might open up some new locations for flying that a 2 stroke would be too noisy for.
