ratio stock 1/12

Hi,
What is recommended for a starting gear ratio for running a stock motor in the Switchblade 12?

I'm actually replacing the stock motor with a Novak Brushless system and they recommend...

If you were send the Superbrain to MRC, is that pretty much what they would do? remove this sensor? I would like to do the mod to my charger myself also.

so I spent $20 on a 40-watt iron for nothing????? I've read that it's a 20-30 watt which you don't want to use...and only 40 or more watts is enough to heat the batteries contacts up quickly enough....

They are 3300mah and I was charging them at 3.5 amps. i had just discharged them....maybe I should have waited until they cooled more before charging? when I soldered the bars on, I was using a 40...

I just charged up a new 4-cell saddle pack (unmatched) NiMH on the MRC superbrain 959. They charged up and peaked but then I picked up the batteries and noticed slime on the table from leakage...

so when they tell you to discharge NiMh batteries to about 0.9 volts....is there any way to test this?
I have a good discharger myself....but without one I would have to get the voltage somehow. ...

how does one judge correct voltage then? and why is a certain voltage displayed on a matched cell if you can never actually detect it with conventional methods and indicators such as an ammeter?
