I took off my twin 3W106 and went to a DA-85, and man, I am a happy camper.

Vertical till forever, smokes like it is on fire.

I did vertical rolls with it Sunday.....just love it.

Mine is currently balanced on the rear edge of the tube. It still needed up elevator trim, just a few clicks. It needs a slight push during inverted , also.

You know, I thought my 106 was fine without baffling. It never really worked hard, and the heads were fully exposed on top, maybe one fin down.

I put holes in my Anti-rotation pins in the rear, and clevis them.

I Goop the wing bolt's head after tightening them, just keep it from vibro-rotating.

I have been flying the heck out of mine....blowing a lot of smoke oil through her. G62 on a Bennett Muffler.

The 106 is on the mend. I can really whip this one around with the G-62, now...

Robinhood, man, that looks like an Ivory Palace in that bird. Absolutely gorgeous.

One thing is for sure, if you have any blowback, or smoke oil mishaps , clean up will be a breeze. Wow.

Mitsu, during the baffling you have to provide ample exit space for the air, I am sure you know this already. And unfortunately, that is going to be a real trick with this cowl.
