RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

the fuse mod is really only needed if your going with a brushless setup and lipos. I wouldn't worry about putting a fuse on these falcon 40s with stock parts. as for the jst's. They are ok, I have...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

My guess is if you broke that ring, you got other parts that are broke and don't realize it. My assumption of the guiding ring is it provides extra support for the rotor head core and the sheer pin....

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

I wouldn't say they are poorly designed. They are designed the way they are to take the stress away from the rest of the helicopter and to keep it as light as possible. The thing I have noticed about...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Check the throttle trim on the right side of your throttle stick. If it is all the way down it will take you to almost half throttle to get it to turn on. Mine is set JUST below halfway so as soon as...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

FMS is not very realistic when it comes to helis. It will teach you orientation and such which is always a plus. It is correct though that it requires small minor adjustments for correcting. On a...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Not sure about the superskids but on a standard nnimh with stock heli, I get about 8-10 minutes of hovering.

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

I received my rotor head core and flybar last night. To my surprise, the rotor head core does not come with the bearings. I mean what the hell? they are required to hold the rotors on and should be...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Lipos....

Keep in mind that lipoly batteries are/can be extremely dangerous. They are wonderful for extending flight time on your plane/heli but make sure that you follow charging instructions...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

It does sound like you may want to get some new batteries. That is the typical way batteries start dieing.

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

On each side of the swashplate is a hole. inside those holes are a hex screw that holds down the flybar. you will need to use the hex tool that came with the heli to loosen the screws so you can pull...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

You already answered many of your own questions. This is a trainer heli. Absolutely no reason to go buying upgraded parts. Your going to bust up your heli and if you have upgraded parts and they...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Its for anyone starting with a new heli. He does have some CP references in there which can be ignored. And yes it is worth it.

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

I thought there was one, but it turned out it wasn't. I didn't realize the tail rotor on these little helis was one solid piece so I thought there was a problem with it when I would push it left it...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Yes they have and it is possible but not advised during your training. You will be crashing many times during the learning proccess and you do not want to have lipos in there as it is possible to...

They are both the same company. On another forum there are a few people that are very upset with xheli. The big problem you have with them is they use yahoo store as their store and it bills you as...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

I don't own a pair, but from what I have read in a couple forums they are just slightly heavier then the stock ones.

Grats on hovering so quickly!

I didn't try to hover till about my 4th battery as I was just getting used to the controls again. It is a lot different then flying a park flyer hehe. I am around...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

As far as I know, there really aren't any upgrades for the Falcon 40. You can get the super skids to add to it but I don't know of any other upgrades specifically for it. You can always buy some...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

That all depends on how much your willing to dish out. G3 is probably the best sim out there but it is over 200 bucks. FMS is a free sim but you get what you pay for. they all will teach you handling...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Well thats the thing about bad servos. A lot of times you don't know its bad till its to late. If it hung on you once, it is liable to do it again. They are cheap enough that it isn't worth the risk...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

How fast is it spinning? Can you counter it with giving opposite rudder? It is possible you may need to turn the gain up on the gyro a little bit.

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Those super skids look nice. Ya know, I have the strangest luck. When flying my planes I always had spare props but never needed them. Even a full throttle crash nose first which broke the motor, the...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

I just finished hovering out a full pack outside. First time I have really gotten a chance to hover it with no wind. Man that was fun. Hovered the entire pack and only touched the ground 3 times for...
