RE: Need new glow starter - AA, SubC, C or D Cell?

I strongly recommend the SonicTronics Ni-Starter. I've used many of the other brands, and always had the best luck with the Ni-Starter. I am just replacing one after nine seasons of use. Get one...

RE: SYSSA 30CC GAS MADE IN USA

Well, I am in the market for a 30cc gas engine (I have a plane waiting for it), and I try to buy US made as much as possible. However, I am very hesitant to place an order for this engine based on...

RE: Anyone making their own servo connectors?

Sid, could you share Jameco P/N's. This would be very helpful to find these parts. I have purchased battery balance connectors from DigiKey, however it took a while to figure out the correct part...

RE: Mfg. ????????????

Thanks 52larry.
Yes, I did know that Curtis built planes in the Buffalo area. I didn't know that it was at the old Westinghouse plant at the airport. There used to be a restaurant near the...

RE: Mfg. ????????????

Sorry, I didn't realise you were looking for information about a kit. I thought you wanted to know who made the full sized aircraft.

RE: SYSSA 30CC GAS MADE IN USA

Has anyone compared the Syssa to the OS 33? I am looking for a 30cc engine and am considering several models. I do like the idea of supporting a US manufacturer. Sorry if this has already been...

Are you guys in the US planning on buying one? If so, where would you order it from?

Thank you.

RE: Header for a OS 160

I put a pump on it, but was having a lot of problems in the midrange. Edwarda10pilot made some suggestions including using an OS F plug. That seemed to make a big difference. I hope to do some...

RE: Header for a OS 160

Guys,
This is a bit off topic, but I'm looking for some help in getting my 1.60 running correctly. I would appreciate talking with anyone that's worked through/researched what makes this engine...

RE: Downwind turn Myth

RJBob,
I apologize for my poorly worded post. I did not mean to imply anything about anyone's flying ability. I was simply trying to convey my thoughts.

RE: Downwind turn Myth

While I agree that airspeed is certainly different than ground speed, I disagree that wind has no effect when turning upwind or downwind. The aircraft has mass (weight) and needs time to accelerate...

OS 1.60FX Pumped

Guys,
Does anyone have any tips or tricks to installing an OS PD-06 pump on a 1.60FX with a Perf. Spec. backplate? The biggest issue is getting the plastic 'baffle' plate out of the 1.60...

RE: Anyone go to EAA Airventure this year?

Hi Z.
I've gone the last 3 years. We took advantage of a package deal setup by one of the local EAA chapters. Not every chapter does this, but I'm pretty sure that your local chapter could help...

RE: ULTRA STICK 40 WHAT SIZE FLOATS AND SUGESTIONS ?

The GP floats (40-60 size) are about 38 1/2" long. Quite a bit longer than 75% of a 40 sized Ultra Stik (44 1/2" prop nut to rear hinge line). My stick rotates off the water fine, it just needs a...

RE: ULTRA STICK 40 WHAT SIZE FLOATS AND SUGESTIONS ?

Robtv,

I'm not sure of the best floats for this plane, but I can say that the GP 40-60 sized fiberglass floats are too big (and heavy) for this plane. I put these floats on my 40 sized Ultra...

RE: Andy Sheber's Pitts ARF by RC Guys

Guys,
What are your thoughts on a G38 in this plane (I have one on the shelf). I'd probably put electronic ignition on it to lighten it up a bit. I'm not looking for insane performance, but I...
