I just order my YAK from ModelAero. hopefully it gets here soon. would you guys recommened the hitec Hs 55 or futuba 3110 servos on this plane?

Hi Ken, I recover the YAK after a little accident i had. I shorten the front 2 inchs and changed the MVVS 58 to a Brison 3.2. now the plane weights 15.9lbs and its one awsome flyer with out the extra...

Ultracote over monokote is ok, monokote over ultracote is not too good as ultracote shrinks in lower temputure.

My CG is at 6.5 inch with MVVS 58 at 17lb 8oz and its an awesome flyer.

I'm getting 6900 RPM on a Menzs 24x8 with the Slimline pitts muffler, 6400 RPM on a BME 24x10 from BME Aircraft. I like the BME prop more on my YAK.

I think Brison say 50 hours before its broken in. I got 7100RPM with MENZS 22x8. best motor i have so far.

Da 50= senting in for free updates every 3 months.

MVVS = no updates no problems.

PS. Theres a guy just crash a BME EDGE with a DA 50 on the grint rc aircraft forum. Cause, motor quit doing...

I have heard that the Hitec receivers can take up to 10V of power, or is it 10amps? not sure. but has anybody use 7.4V li-po on receiver?
