RE: Another Question about the OS 40 LA

It's just heavy. Flies great with the 11X5
I have 2 of them, (OS 40LA) they act the same, on the DURAPLANE TRAINER 40, just don't seem to have enough low band tourque with a 10X6 to take off very...

RE: Mabuchi Question-electric newbie

Sorry, but, i've only bench tested it, but I think it's equivalent to a "400 speed" motor. it pulls a 7X3 prop, (Graupner folding prop) not big enough for any but the lightest 40 size planes, or...

RE: Another Question about the OS 40 LA

Thanks. Yes it does appear that way. I was told that the #8 is a hotter plug though. It (LA 40) does seem to prefer the #8,
but that may have been caused due to the degraded condition of the A8...

RE: HELP! Sturdy Birdy Fuselage

Iv'e only found one hardware store with the downspout, TrueValue Hardware, and it's an 8' piece, enough to make more than a few fuselages, for under $10. Just have to cut holes for the wing and...

RE: Another Question about the OS 40 LA

I am using an 11 X 5 (good low end torque) and a 10 X 7 (for speeed) with my LA 40. Maybe a 3 blade would be better for your "air truck", or at least let you lower the CG? Also, it seems to like at...

RE: How many of you have lost an airplane, literally?

Back about 7 years ago, after taking the suggestions of the other club members to outfit my Olympic glider with a receiver switch, I got the Cox 049, mounted atop the wing on a power pod, up to...

RE: Mabuchi Question-electric newbie

tj , I have an RS-550SB FS, (Mabuchi 3500 BB) which came from a destroyed 80's glider ARF, name unknown. I was going to put it in a GP Spirit, which doesn't come with a motor, but it's counterpart,...

RE: Slope Glider Identification Please!

I guess the polymer fueslages are more popular than I thought. Still no exact match found. The mystery plane has built up stabs, one piece wing and one aileron servo, balsa sheeted, I believe....

RE: Slope Glider Identification Please!

That is very similar, just a bit smaller though, and the canopy goes all the way back to the wing. Not shown in photos: dark blue canopy ends about 1" before the wing. Actual wingspan measurement is...

RE: prop on a saito .56

Is that Saito .56 w/ 13X4 for 3D? I think that might not allow enough clearance for my plane, but I will give it a try. Planning on putting the Saito .56 on a Phoenix Sukhoi 31, but it might not be...

Slope Glider Identification Please!

I got this slope glider some time ago, and never knew the manufacturer, but it's got a duralene(?) fuse, and no rudder. Its a foam core wing, about 68". Dates back twelve years or more. Anyone...
