RE: tetherd aerohawk

It can work, however the 12v will probably fry the board, so a voltage regulator capable of 8A current rating would be needed.

I ran my Dragonfly on a variable bench power supply for months -...

RE: Trying to build packs.

Tubes,

Why rosin core solder?

This is classed as unsafe in the UK due to the fumes! We have had to go rosin free at work even with fume extraction.

RE: Using Laboratory PSupply to Charge Battery

Hi Super Hornet,

I use one to power my Lipo charger, it seems to draw the current in pulses?
Do you mean you charged your Lipo straight off the supply?

RE: Dragonfly tail motor problem (actually mixer speed controler problem)

sir777,

The tail motors are very poor, so this would be my first guess. Can you connect a battery direct to the tail motor to test it?
If it is the Electronic Speed Controller / Mixer, some...

RE: My Home Made Aluminium Based Landing Skids

Hi Super-Hornet,

The joints are CA, I'm not very happy with them[:@]
I would prefer to solder - I've got 60/40 and an Antex Solder Station, what's your technique?

RE: My Home Made Aluminium Based Landing Skids

Cool[8D]

Did you fill the tubing with anything to minimise squashing / kinking?
And is it tie wrapped to the main chassis?

Steve
Going to have to have a go!!

RE: GWS EDP50 DD rotor question

Just Rammed it on:D I held the motor end cap to ensure it didn't pop out.
The blade does pop off with any large tail strike - which is fine by me (better than shattering into little bits!)
