you can tig, mig, and solder. for that small of an application i would go with soldering it.

where the rod ends connect i would lower that brace down a little bit and push it out towards the sides to give more ride height in front, but you dont have to do that. also you dont have to extend...

this should give you an idea of good shock placement for your 4link and strap placement too. the set up of this placement is common to utilize jumps, and open desert racing.
