RE: Senior Telemaster alternative

I plan on it. The only thing I've ever built was a small wood and fiberglass boat(bolger cartopper), and I assisted an A&P mechanic with building his composite airplane while I was a teenager. So...

RE: Senior Telemaster alternative

Already ordered the plans for the telemaster, and got a go from my professor for the laser cutter. Plus, I ordered the j3 cub kit from sig. It's just for fun, always wanted a cub. The telemaster is...

RE: HELP msr not working

That probably killed your battery. With lipo batteries as soon as it feels like there is any loss in power land immediately. Or more specifically, if the voltage drops below 3v on a cell. Just buy...

RE: Senior Telemaster alternative

i didn't know plans were available so that's what I'll do, but i was talking to my professor today. He was telling me the school is getting a C02 laser cutter from epilog in a week or two. So I'll...

RE: Senior Telemaster alternative

I was just going by the price the senior telemaster was. I'm not fixed on the price, all I need to finish out a plane is an engine and a couple servos. Just about everything else I already have...

Senior Telemaster alternative

First, sorry if this is a re-post. I couldn't find another thread that was similar to it, so I don't think it is.

My wife has been bugging me about what i would like for my birthday, and...

RE: Think RC? Beware.

Honestly, if you ever buy e-flite anything again from anyone usually the easiest thing to do is call horizon hobby customer support. I've had problems with all 3 of my heli's from them and they have...

RE: Blade mSR

Glad to hear it. This hobby can be addictive. Just take your time, and practice practice practice. Even with practice you will crash sometime. I just crashed my 120sr into the mailbox yesterday....

RE: Blade mSR

Very true, they have the best support I've ever seen. I've had to do the same thing a few times before.

RE: first flight with new heli!!!!

Congrats. The only suggestion I'll give is to go through Radd's School of rotary flight. It will save you many mishaps. I tell everyone that though. I'm now at over 250 flights with my heli's and...

RE: Blade mSR

Phoenix, and real flight are both good. Clearview is okay but I think it feels a little weird for a sim. For now download flying model simulator. It's free and will help with orientation.

The...

RE: Blade mSR

I am. The real issue with the Blade SR is the tail. Once you get past the basics a motor driven tail just can't keep up. I really think it can be unnerving for someone new to ccpm helis. Don't get me...

RE: Blade sr 120

Its swash type in the setup list. If it says inhibit under the swash mix in the adjust list than you already have it set right. Is it flying or just better?

edit:
What you were looking at is...

RE: Blade mSR

sweet deal. Honestly, you may want to skip the SR and go for a 450. It has issues that become annoying once you get proficient. It is still fun, but i do regret buying mine. At that size a belt...

RE: Blade mCPx or 120 ?

RE: Blade sr 120

Okay, that looks like the problem. 50% basically turns the gyro off on this thing. If you look in the manual the 5th channel. Which is the gyro or flap channel depending on what mode you are in has...

RE: Blade mSR

The thing with the SR is if you have a hard landing you will bend or break something. It does handle wind much better than the 120, i've had mine out in 12mph winds. My 120sr is a pain to fly in even...

RE: Blade mSR

A 3 and 4 channel coaxial are both really easy to fly. Almost the same really. Get the msr or 120sr if you don't have any problems with the syma. Just remember, you will crash. Everyone does. I just...

RE: Blade mCPx or 120 ?

Get the 120sr if you are going to get the 450 down the road. Learning on a cp is doable. I did over about 6 weeks. Then I got the 120 sr and am having a blast with it. The dynamics are similar, but...
