I built the kit as a tricycle gear----I did not do any extra gluing or anything in the rear but it is so mtail heavy that it will not even rest on the nose gear unless I push id down with weights.

Thank you for the info Max, I appreciate it. The larger engine is dueto the fact the cub is on floats. Better a little extra power than not quite enough. Half throttle shoude be ok.

ENGINE SWAP---ANY MAJOR PROBLEMS

I HAVE A 40 SIZE PIPER CUB WITH AN OS 61 IN IT. I WANT TO PUT IN AN OS 70 SURPASS. OTHER THAN THE COWL CUT OUT WILL I HAVE ANY PROBLEMS MAKING THIS SWITCH.

NEED HELP ON ADJUSTMENTS OS 61 SF

I HAVE AN OLDER, BUT NOT USED MUCH, OS 61SF. IT STARTS EASY, IDELS GREAT, RUNS FULL THROTTLE VERY WELL. THE PROBLEM IS THE TRANSITION BETWEEN THE TWO. IT DOES NOT DIE BUT IT SPUTTERS AND HESITATES...
