RE: new Arf Boomerang 14lb thrust

Agree 100% with all of the above. As I said, the 3/8" struts are not very "robust", but I had them "in stock, readily available". In hindsight I would use a heavier quality option, as I am doing on...

RE: new Arf Boomerang 14lb thrust

Dany,
I am using the "standard" 3/8 diameter Robostruts, part number 650 for the mains. Nose wheel is 651R (right hand offset). You could probably use the 7/16" diameter (they include an adapter...

RE: Cox/Pica T-28

Hello friends,
I picked up my Cox T-28 ARF today, and the gent at the local hobby shop told me the Robart gear set was the same as the Top Flite Bonanza and T-34 Mentor, which indicates a 630 set...

RE: Cox/Pica T-28

I'll be powering with my trusty RC Showcase 1.4 gasser. I flew that motor for nearly 5 seasons on a SIG CAP 231EX, and it was just a wonderful little engine. This installation should provide very...

RE: new Arf Boomerang 14lb thrust

I would not recommend a digital servo on that big single flap, as when you dial your half or full settings, if there is even the slightest play in the linkage, the airload will push against the flap...

Thanks for the good info. The runway is paved, 325 feet about 30 feet wide, so takeoffs are not the problem. The grass is overruns on both ends. My main concern is about the landing. I am...
