The AUW is approximately 45 oz. The main wing has a carbon rod almost the entire span, then it has a 3" medium weight fiberglass strip full span on the top and bottom, then the whole wing is covered...

It's been a while but the building has progressed. It is almost complete. AUW should be about 3 - 3.5 lbs.

Will 1/2 oz fiberglass add a lot of weight? I was planning on using that Minwax polyurethane (?) instaed of epoxy resin. I read in here where guys do that on foamys so it doesn't seem like it would...

Yes, that's right, extra power is required if you want to carry equipment up. Most all those videos were done with 7.2 volt long can motors. If I had to do it again, I think I would go...

Twinturbostang is right, the Twinstar II can carry quite a bit of load. We have flown a Twinstar with two cameras, a wireless transmitter, OSD board, anemometer for windspeed, and pressure sensor...

MAC (Mean Aerodynamic Chord) was calculated for the wing and SS1 was balanced at 30% of the chord from the leading edge on the MAC.
