RE: Next step from Superstar 40???

Thanks Matt G....I have done a little research and I like the Sig 4* series. Now I just have to decide if I want the 40 or the 60. From what I have read, even the 40 will be a little underpowered...

Not that I wanted to...

RE: Bent crank shaft???

I forgot to mention that there is a pretty good vibration down the plane beside the noise that it is making.
When the glow plug is out, should the engine turn over smoothly the whole rotation? It...

RE: Bent crank shaft???

Thanks, I had the crank shaft out when I was doing the test (I did make sure not to get the chuch tight enough to damage the threads). I put the engine back together and tried the methods everyone...

RE: What's the cheapest trainer out there?

Hobby People has the Superstar 40 on sale for $250. Took me less than an hour to build and everything was included (minus gas and glow starter). I fly where there is always a 5-10 mph cross wind,...

RE: engine break in ? for newbie

According to the OS manual, the engine needs very little break in. The manual will describe it better (http://www.osengines.com/manuals/40-46-65la-manual.pdf), but here is what it basically says. ...

RE: Wing Transportation

Yeah, I found that site, but it says they are moving their facility and will be unable to take orders for a while. The Wing Tote looks a little big, but it'll do.

RE: Low end adj. on OS .40

Thanks for the help. The manual says to adjust the bleed to where you can stand holding the plane, point it up a little, and not notice a difference in the idle. Two turns out gives me a starting...

Wing Transportation

Looking for ideas on how to transport the wings for a Superstar 40 (~60" wingspan) without taking them apart every time. I have been looking for bags, but most I have found are for bigger planes,...

RE: Low end adj. on OS .40

I just printed it...lost it the first time at the field!
The instructor is old, and he knows more about planes than I ever will. I just couldn't make sense of his adjustments.
I will adjust...
