RE: Which Brushless for Magpie

Little Screamers work great! Use 8 degrees down thrust. Flies straight and level at half throttle. Really climbs good at 3/4 throttle. AUW with 3s LiPo 15.7 oz.

RE: Oh Crap.....

I would try it. Maybe you just invented something. Could be the wave of the future! Or not...
Just remember, this advice is from a guy who's avatar is a squirrel. It might be nuts.

RE: GWS 300 Motors

True.
If you use the same motor and same prop but change gear ratio the current draw will also change. If it goes lower you get less performance. If it goes higher you could burn up the ESC or the...

RE: Perfect Batt for the GWS Slow Stick?

I tried a 400 brushed motor and didn't get must increase in performance. Of course I might have had it geared wrong. 4.1 to 1 I think. I put on a 3 cell 1500 mah LiPo with an AXI 2212/34 brushless...

Thanks again.

By the way, the new ones I ordered are much torqueir. Twice more and only .2 oz heavier.
Anyone...

Which servo where?

Hello,
I just bought a Monocoupe. 82" wing, 10 lbs, flies slow.
I have 4 servos at 57 oz/in and 2 at 49 oz/in.
Where should I use the lower torque servos?
It requires 2 aileron, 2 flaps, 1...

RE: different lipo cuttoff with different pixie's...why?

You are correct. Use 6volt cutoff for 2 cell LiPo. I read Castle Creations is correcting their manuals.

RE: RTF kit w/4ch radio?

There will be no noticeable performance difference between AM and FM in park flier ranges. The point Matt is trying to make is the frequency on cheap AM radios is in the 27 megahertz range. Very...

RE: Good rough field airplane? Suggestions please.

Jim;
I never thought of bungee launching. Sounds like a great idea but well below my knowledge and skill for now. Gives me something to think about and shoot for. Pun intended. I love the plane...

RE: Slow Stick Motor mount

That's what I need! Where can I get one? It might help me tame my brush-less at high throttle settings.

RE: almost converted...need advice

Matt has the best advice. I'm a beginner. Have you considered just converting one of your slimers to electric. You know the plane, your well over half done, and you will learn allot in the process....

RE: What glue for the Easy Star

You mentioned foam in your other post. I'll assume foam wings. Most CA is not compatible with foam unless it specifically says 'foam safe' on it. Use epoxy, or wood glue like Elmers or Tite Bond.

Good rough field airplane? Suggestions please.

I fly in my own field. Not very smooth. The grass is kept short by the goats but the underlying surface is rough.
I want to fly an electric larger than the typical hand launch planes. I need rough...

RE: Hinging elevator and rudder

I use it on my Slow Stick and Dandy Sport. Works great. I got the storage tape. It resists hot and cold a little better than the clear package tape.
What airplane are you going to use it on? If...

RE: AstroFlight Whatt meter. Where to buy?

Thanks for the reply. I ordered from Astro Flight a few hours ago. I got a confirmation email but it did not have a ship date.
I hope their not going to fill back-orders to suppliers first.

RE: My Dandy Sport AUW is 14.2 oz. Whats yours?

I like the gear mod. My field is rough. I can't get the goats and lamas to do a better job. They do keep the grass short. I'm going to try your mod. Here comes more weight.

My Dandy Sport AUW is 14.2 oz. Whats yours?

I just finished my first build from a most excellent kit. As stated it came in at 14.2 oz.
I would like to hear from others on their final flying weight and what you used for options.

I used;...
