RE: .46AX sleeve in .40FX

Hey Dar,

Thanks for the reply.

I went ahead and tried to start it. The pinch at the top went away after it worked for a few seconds and came back while it cooled down.
It also won't run...

RE: .46AX sleeve in .40FX

I installed it so the exhaust port match to the muffler and didn't pay attention to the location pin.

I know that the 40FX the 46FX are interchangable so do you think this will work? Should I...

I had a 0.46AX sleeve and piston laying around so I put that into the .40FX.

Will it work? When I turn the prop there is a "jump" in the...

RE: Ultra R/C Giles 202 UL 29%

Guys stop worrying about weight.

My Giles crashed a while back because of engine problems and the reconstruction added about a pound to it.

Do you want to know how it flies? Better than...

RE: OS 160 FX / Bisson Pitts / Perry VP-20 owners

I use medium. If you have a pump dont be afraid to use normal as well... the pump will take care of the flow.

RE: OS 160 FX / Bisson Pitts / Perry VP-20 owners

Just checked and mine is open 2.5 turns also. I closed a bit more right now to check how it performs.

RE: OS 160 FX / Bisson Pitts / Perry VP-20 owners

For what it is worth I have an OS 1.60FX + Bisson Pitts muffler + Perry VP30 + 10% Omega + APC 18x6W and my needles are as follows:

Pump screw open 2 and a bit threads.
Main needle is opened...

RE: Ultra R/C Giles 202 UL 29%

Do all of you also experience a hard pull to one of the sides in a harrier? - It happens because of torque. Im having to apply a little rudder to make it "fly" straight in a harrier.

I just...

RE: potentiometer gone dead

I am talking about the throttle servo, sorry for not mentioning this VERY important piece of info...

I'd never put that small of a servo on a surface, not even on a .46 plane.

RE: potentiometer gone dead

Its not a mini micro... its mini or micro (not both lol..). It is similar in size to the Hitec HS 81MG or 85MG...

What's more likely - a bad linkage or a bad servo?

Thanks

RE: potentiometer gone dead

Its a GWS servo (Micro 2BBMG to be exact) and its not that "off brand", people here use it for a lot of things even bigger.

What's more sensible? That the servo was bad or that the hard linkage...

potentiometer gone dead

Hey guys,

I have an almost brand new mini metal geared servo (similar to the hitec 81MG or 85MG). It has flew around 4-5 times on the plane (29% Giles with an OS 1.60). The engine is...

RE: Ultra R/C Giles 202 UL 29%

Dude, I have the manual right here... 20x10. It even says 18x12 in one of your links so I dont see the problem...

Anyway, people with experience running the OS 160 with 19x7 or 20x10 wood...

RE: Ultra R/C Giles 202 UL 29%

I just want a wood prop instead of the APC and since they probably weigh 1/4 of the APC I think it will handle the larger diamater with no problem.

Anyone have experience with bigger props on...

RE: Ultra R/C Giles 202 UL 29%

Also, are they exactly the same as Mezjlik or do they have a different profile?

What about 3W props? They look like...

RE: Ultra R/C Giles 202 UL 29%

I think it has nothing to do with lateral balance. I balanced my wings and when I do tests in the air it's fine. It only shows in a harrier.
Also, its not wing rocking at all. It just turns left...
