RE: Hitec Eclipse 7 battery life

Yeah, it's pretty new. I've only used it maybe 4 times so far, and the battery life seemed very short. I'll try cycling the batteries.

RE: Heli's & Aerial video/stills, am I nuts?

I always wonder if they'd let you fly it anywhere to take the pictures. What if you need to take a picture of a house in the middle of a town? They're not just going to let you fly a big .60 size...

RE: Hitec Eclipse 7 battery life

I made sure to fully extend the antenna before I let turned it on. I didn't want to fry anything.

RE: Hitec Eclipse 7 battery life

Hmm, I just turned the power on this time and let the radio run till the batteries are dead, and this time it lasted almost 2 hours. What's going on here?

Do the batteries last longer if you're...

Do yours have the spectra modules? That gets pretty warm.

Hitec Eclipse 7 battery life

I have a Hitec Eclipse that seems to work fine other than the fact that the included battery has a horrible lifespan. With a full charge it might only last for 15 or 20 minutes. When I was trying to...

RE: Time for Jet Videos!

I had trouble getting the files to work too, but then I figured it out.

The problem lies in the website itself. The files are video files, but they named the files with an incorrect suffix. They...

RE: What's wrong with my helicopter?

I mounted my gyro up front where the receiver is, so I don't think it gets too warm up there. But you might be on to something about the temperature outside causing the gyro to drift, since the...

RE: What's wrong with my helicopter?

It's an Ikarus Profi gyro. It has heading hold. Right now it's disabled so I can make sure the heli is setup properly before I enable HH.

RE: Is my gyro working correctly?

Hi there.

I'm just a beginner so I'm not really that familiar with all this stuff, but I might be able to help.

When I first installed my gyro, I had the same problem. The gyro would go in...

What's wrong with my helicopter?

I've been practicing hovering for the last few days. I've noticed a strange thing happening. I'll have all the controls set up so the helicopter hovers with the tail not swinging around, but then...

RE: how to BLOW up n engine

I would like to politely inform you that speaking in this manner is not cool. It's obvious that you are going out of your way to sound like a thug.

"den"? "juss"? "wus"?

Give me a break. I...

RE: how to BLOW up n engine

I agree. It doesn't give me a positive image of the person typing these posts. How intelligent can someone be if they manage to misspell just about everything they type?

For those who type like...

RE: Will Lexan be a good choice?

Lexan is very flexible, wouldn't be a good material for a chassis. Lexan is mainly used when you want something light, can take an impact, and you can see through it. Good material for making safety...

RE: Homemade rotor blades

You do not need to compress it when you make carbon fiber parts. You lay it just like fiberglass. I used to work at a marina and the sailboat yard next door used to make things out of carbon fiber....

RE: Newbie needs help

Hmm, I guess I could do that. But there's also a "reverse" jumper on the gyro that I can enable. I guess with that in mind, I'll try reversing the jumper and if that doesn't work I'll turn the gyro...

RE: Newbie needs help

Yeah, I know the oil gets burned along with the fuel, I have a Yamaha Wave Blaster with a slightly bigger 2 stroke :-)

I guess my main question is that the engine is running TOO rich and TOO...

RE: Questions about my Hitec Eclipse 7

So I should just leave it plugged in the way I have it now, right? The gyro's main plug is in the rudder channel (channel 4), and the gyro's sensitivity plug is plugged into channel 7.

RE: Newbie needs help

How do I do that? Do I do that on the radio, or on the gyro itself?

Edit- I think I see the switch you're talking about on the gyro. I'll try that when I get home.

RE: Newbie needs help

The engine isn't running hot at all. I'm thinking that it's not smoking due to too much cooling. There is plenty of lubrication splattering out of the muffler, and after a run I can touch the...
