RE: Need engine help

If his engine is sputtering while transitioning, its the LOW end needle, not the high end needle valve that is too rich.

RE: Wanted: Help Breaking In a Magnum Engine

Personally, I wouldn't use the 16% oil Wildcat fuel since I prefer at least 18% but more like 20% oil in my fuel when my engine is new. It'll give you a little extra protection against heat when...

RE: Norvel .40

Is it for sale yet? Its been an elusive beast for a while now. I wish Norvel upsizes their technology for larger size motors.

RE: Irvine 53 starting

First thing I always do when having engine problems is to replace the plug with a new one and if that doesn't help, use fresh fuel from a newly opened gallon.

Always carry a couple of spare OS...

RE: you must read this-or risk a prizon sentence

Its called interstitial advertising and it #$%^&*( me off. I almost lost my job over a dozen of popups that opened up many unwanted pages on my work computer. I made the "mistake" of using a search...

RE: TURBOCHARGER on a savage ss

Nitromethane in larger percentages will produce the same results as a turbo or super charger. Instead of increasing the airpressure via compression to delivery more O2 to the engine, nitro does it...

RE: How to balance a prop--properly?

I never balance any of my APC props. Been flying for 5 years with never experiencing a vibration problem. However, if you insist. I know people who add clear nail polish to the backs of their props...

RE: Cool Power Fuel

They don't list the oil content because that info used to be proprietary before other fuel companies capitalized on this point with marketing to pursuade buyers that knowing oil content was...

RE: Need some advice

Contrary to popular belief, high nitro fuel do not make your engine run cooler. It can't be done without violating basic laws of physics and thermodynamics. All nitro does is provide a liquid that...

RE: Fuel eficiency

Yep, you've experienced the benefit of using a synthetic oil. My mileage is about 2% better when I use a synthetic oil in my automobile engines. However, if your engine is new, best to break it in...

RE: Secret ingredient in Sig's synthetic fuel???

I agree w/ Mr. Wildcat: Sig's secret ingredient claim is baloney. The quality, purity, viscosity and oil content of the fuel will affect the engine's running temps more than anything else. Unless...

RE: omega fuel in saito fa-65

Omega fuel (2 stroke) fuel contains 30% castor oil/70% synthetic oil and total oil content of 17% by volume.

Many people including myself do not like to use castor oil in our 4 strokes. The...

RE: What is the chemical formula of nitro?

CH3NO2

The 2 oxygen atoms per molecule of nitromethane allows more glow fuel to be combusted, thus increasing power. Nitro is like a liquid supercharger or turbocharger.

How to synthesize...

RE: TT 91 FS Crankshaft to short

You may want to try a prop that has a thinner hub too. I personally prefer APC for all of my 4 strokes. They seen to do better. A 14x6 will work perfect with your TT .91.

RE: Low RPM on new Saito 100 ??

Yep, you aren't producing full power. Recheck all fuel lines and tank (clunk) for obstructions. Clean and blow out carb to make sure it isn't partially plugged. If that doesn't help, recheck the...

RE: My first plane, what engine?

Don't base your sole decision on manufacturer's "HP" figures. Many of these figures are exaggerated by the engine manufacturers. True test of power is to compare rpm figures on the same prop and...

RE: os 52 four stroke need more power!!!

If you want more power there is not replacement for displacement. Magnum .61 isn't much more powerful than a OS .52. The Magnum 4 strokes are typically weaker than their peers.

A Saito .72...

RE: Moki 1.35 Bearing Set
