Sorry, it moves up and down. If you pick a spot on the block and watch it as you turn the engine over you can see the gap in that one spot get slightly biger then smaller as it rotates.

When I was new to nitro engines my LHS guys told me to be careful with over reving the engine. He told me to use a 2 second rule at WOT. Only holding it WOT for 2 seconds, let off and hit it again....

I just had the same problem. I found out that two of the four positive terminals did not contact the battery ends. All I had to do is strech the positive side spring out a little bit and its fine...
