RE: yard sticks

If you really want yardstick spars, I've bought them online , 250 for $25.00. Shipping down under would probably double the price but still not bad if you can get some "mates" to split the order...

RE: single vs. double spars

RE: cutting gutterpipe

I use my table saw to cut the gutterpipe to length, makes nice 90* ends. Dremel is used for most of the other cuts. If you use any power tools to do the cuts wear your safety glasses.

RE: my first spa3d

Kevin you hit it right on the head with the "stress free" remark. Really put the fun factor back in for me for 2 reasons. One is you can build a plane in a few hours and two you can try new crazy...

RE: General idea of low wing mods

Looks great and I'll bet you will be happy with the way it flies. I have one suggestion if you didn't already do it , I would make sure that the fuse spar cuts are a bit oversize. If you have any bad...

RE: I got my stuff

I think you should go to the STTB website, http://www.spadtothebone.com and look at some of the .15 to .25 size planes and choose one of those. You can mix and match ideas too, if you don't like the...

RE: Modified Debut on a rail with report

Thanks, that's what I was wondering. I wasn't sure if you cut the wing or built up the fuse.

RE: Storing batteries for the winter?

I took a long break in my rc flying (8+ years). My nicads were on the factory trickle charger the whole time. I thought they would be junk, nope. I used up 6 gallons of fuel this summer and those...

RE: leading edge mod. for spa3d

Take an old screwdriver and blunt the tip using a grinder, it will solve the problem on future projects.

RE: Bad day for my SPADS

My bad days are usually running out of props, breaking a mount and the occasional forgetting the vital piece of airplane or radio gear:eek:. You know the small things, like a wing or the...

RE: Sym. Wing Building Tip

Don't laugh at how simple this is. It really works great at spacing and holding spars while glue sets up.

RE: Sym. Wing Building Tip

RCWings , last summer I made a spar jig to hold down and space my spars on the flat bottom wing designs. It works so good that I can fold and glue in minutes of having the wing cut to shape. Picture...
