If you really want yardstick spars, I've bought them online , 250 for $25.00. Shipping down under would probably double the price but still not bad if you can get some "mates" to split the order...

I use my table saw to cut the gutterpipe to length, makes nice 90* ends. Dremel is used for most of the other cuts. If you use any power tools to do the cuts wear your safety glasses.
