My first engine was a Webra Winner 2.5 cc diesel pulling an UC plane in 1957. My first glow was an Enya .15 for another UC plane. next I installed it in a RC plane from my own design (1975)

Your problem could come from the idle adjustment screw when the "joint torique" (in french sorry) is too old. In this case there is no brake to keep that screw at the right place. A good substitute...

I use it on a biplane (own design) span 180 cm weight 9 kg. An in board glow driver is (for me) necessary.

10x6 is too much, try 9x6 to run between 9.000 and 10.000. Your engine will be more happy.
