Hey Campgens,

RE: home for my zdz80

STG,

My Aeroworks 75cc Yak arrived yesterday. All I can say is DAMN! It's georgous. I've had several arf kits, including the Hangar 9, and the GP CAP-580. This is the best, most complete one...

RE: Scoring at the NATS

I know the difference between the XFC and the NATS. And, as I said, I have heard this from more than one unrelated source.

RE: Scoring at the NATS

My understanding is that the controversy has more to do with what type of radio you are flying, i.e. Futaba vs JR, and possibly your reputation. Some are saying that the Futaba guys are being scored...

Scoring at the NATS

I've been hearing some rumblings about controversy with the scoring at the NATS this year and would like to hear from the participants and people who were there. Please keep the discussion civil.

RE: GP Cap 580 1/3 scale

Flymyplane,

You should have plenty of power with the new ZDZ-80. It turns even faster than some 100's. There's a saying that the best 100 around is the ZDZ-80. And that was before the new one...

RE: 1/3 scale Chapman Cap 580 Mufflers?

I don't know if you ever got your questions answered, but there I have posted pics of the modification of my 580 to accomodate cannister mufflers from RC Showcase for my BME 110.

Hope this helps.

RE: GP Cap 580 1/3 scale

I think a 160 would be a waste of the 160. Lots of people using 100's on this airplane, most without cannisters because of the re-engineering required if you want to keep them in the fuselage, rather...

RE: GP Cap 580 1/3 scale

Interesting you would mention the BME. I'm about to build one with a BME-110 for power. Looking at the engine, it does look more delicate than my BME-102. And it's lighter than my ZDZ-80 single. ...

Care and feeding of a BME-110

Looking for any tips or comments on this engine. I'm looking to put one in a Great Planes CAP-580. What kind of mufflers are you using and what are the sound readings?
