if there are hop ups available you should get aluminum a-arms and maybe a better engine and a 2spd. but i never heard of readily available parts for smartechs but i have seen some with 2 speeds.

as long as it's a threaded shaft engine small block you should be able to just reuse everything else but that's a non pullstart engine so you should try a non pullstart flywheel. the hpi factory one...

the lower the gear ratio the better cause this means the engine needs to turn less to move the spur gears. eg. 37spur+23pinion=1.61gear ration means engines turns 1.61times to turn spur 1

the best combo for gears that is not the 37/41 combo would've been the 39/23 43/19 combo this would bring your gear ratio as close to "1" as possible with-out modifying your chasss

i have yet to see a broken a-arm or even a bent one but i have seen piles of bent and snapped hinge pins. that's from personnal expierence i run aluminum a-arms for bashing and every time i crash...

actually toe-in helps the tires straighten out after turning cause both are trying to turn into each other making the car track straight, given both tires are turned in at the same angle.
