World's Fastest RC Car Challenge

Does anyone know what the record was for the monster truck class for this event or any event for that matter?

RE: Putting a spool in the rear of my new E-Maxx???

I just took the diff apart and there are a few teeth missing off the ring gear and one of the internal pinion gears output shaft was broken off! I guess I'll be using the spool since the...

RE: Putting a spool in the rear of my new E-Maxx???

I don't think so. I would totally lose most of my steering.

RE: Putting a spool in the rear of my new E-Maxx???

Thanks. I know what a spool does and replaces, but I didn't know what effect it would have on low speed and high speed handling.

I haven't taken it apart yet to see what broke, but I can't get...

RE: Putting a spool in the rear of my new E-Maxx???

What happens if you try slow, small radius turns? Will it just push forward or what?

RE: Putting a spool in the rear of my new E-Maxx???

I knew it would lock the wheels, but I'm not sure if I want a decrease in steering. We just need some stronger diffs.

Putting a spool in the rear of my new E-Maxx???

What effect would it have on the truck if I put the Traxxas spool in the rear of my truck? I just blew the rear diff and don't want to keep fixing it.

RE: Why not charge at a 2C rate??

Charge rate has a lot to do with balance. If your balancer can't handle a higher discharge current and you're putting a high charge current into the whole pack, one cell could get more of a charge...

RE: Why not charge at a 2C rate??

Most good lipos can be safely charged at a 2C rate. My Superbrain 989 only says that you can charge a lipo at 1.2C, but you can trick the charger into charging at whatever you want. If you have a...

RE: NOW ENTERING THE RING!! At 14 OZ's THE NEW 5000 SS 7.4V WEIGHTED "SANCTION SPEC" PACK

I read the specs. What do you mean when you say "NEW 5000 SS 7.4V WEIGHTED "SANCTION SPEC" PACK"?

Is this pack specific to some type of racing like on-road or something like that?

Transmitter pack for Spektrum systems

Does CommonSenseRC make anything that will work in the Spektrum DX2 or DX3 systems? How about the DX3R system?

RE: Why not charge at a 2C rate??

That sounds good. That makes sense about the balancing. But even with a low current balancer, the cells can take a small overcharge if one gets more charge than the other. As long as the cells are...

RE: Why not charge at a 2C rate??

Even if someone has cycled one that many times to test it and found out that it does reduce the number of cycles, I wonder how by how many? If were talking 350 cycles at 2C compared to 450 at 1C, I...

Why not charge at a 2C rate??

I know 90% of lipos require no more than a 1C charge rate, but what really happens if you charge them at a 2C rate? Will there be a loss of total cycles or a loss of maximum capacity? And if it's...

RE: New E-Maxx stronger hinge pins??

I know. I would like to find some hardened steel ones. I've heard other people bending and breaking the Lunsford pins. The stock ones are way too weak too.
