RE: MVVS and Viper

It's not the GRRT, but thier q-500 motor that does have the head you can turn, and I turned it to rear exhaust. Macs header and pipe. I tried to get some pics up but they won't load.

RE: High speed

To do that your best bet is a Hot and high end engine and an inexpensive airframe like a diamond dust or something of the like. But 200 is gonna be a hard one to tap on a low low budget. If you like...

RE: Magnum Trashed!! Is this the same plane?

Sure does look the same, of course I would lose the dorky gear. The price isn't bad either.

RE: Oakdale Aircraft Phenom

Thats a nice plane. It really is moving along well with that engine I would imagine it will scream with a hot one. Not to bash, but heres just a small design mod that I think should be made. The...

color scheme designs

Hey I just thought I would ask and see who thought it would be a good idea to make a thread that was strictly for color scheme layouts for our planes. A good paint/covering job can make the...

RE: Trash Planes

I have rebuilt several crashed and "wrecked" planes before as well. A buddy of mine has taken planes that I considered toast, that were really bad off and next thing you know its ready to cover. I...

RE: Best looking engine?

The top one is awesome, now all you need for the bottom one is set of "spinna" rims for your raceplane. And perhaps some fuzzy dice and a cane!

RE: all diamond dust post

Thanks, I think designing them is half of the fun. Getting an engine in and then building a plane strictly one off for it is what I like to do the most. That 60lx seems to be the best thing for what...

RE: all diamond dust post

Yeah thats the only thing that would keep me from not doing it at first. I may just go ahead and do it all who knows. I would like to know what kind of improvement I could make, thats why I wanted to...

RE: all diamond dust post

Well the MVVS engines that both of us wil be running are pretty hot, their not just your stock sport engines. On top of that there will be mods made to do some performance upgrades. From what I have...

RE: all diamond dust post

I was contemplating the venturi as well for a couple of reasons. For one I didn't get this engine to fly it at half throttle, it's strictly for speed, and it will also make it much easier to cowl the...

RE: Prop. Dia vs Pitch

What you re doing yes you will want a larger diameter propeller but I wouldn't get too terribly low on the pitch. I have a super stearman with a saito .56 that works beautifully with a 12x6, but...

RE: all diamond dust post

I was also thinking it would be a lot of fun also to make a cowling, that would actully be a " fuselage" for this plane, that I could easily remove and put back on just to see how much of a real...
