RE: Hyper 7 pbs to pro

I am by no means an expert, but its my feeling you might as well just get a Pro and be done with it. The Pro has an extended chassis, lots of bling carbon/graphite and purple parts, Torsen center...

RE: RB WS7II

Simple question..........simple answer.
3.5 turns out on the HSN, 5 turns on the LSN.

If you are having trouble getting your RB to run right, the RB Forum is a great source to help you out....

RE: CON-ROD SNAPPED!!

The only time I broke a rod was when I leaned the engine out too far. I kept leaning it out to get more power, and SNAP..........it went. As yours, that also was the only damage.

RE: Buying new buggy advice.

Get a kit. You will learn more about your buggy, and if you get an RTR, you will have to pull everything apart anyway to re-do it. Ask me how I know. ;) There isnt much left of my Hyper7 PBS RTR...

RE: OS 20E Carb

I have the 20E on my Hyper 8port, and it is a direct bolt on and works awesome. No tuning issues at all. I dont know what the difference in the E vs. B is, except the B is a LOT more money. [&:]

How much power is to be gained from sending an engine to a quality porting specialist? Anyone have experience with before and after they have had it done? I know some onroad guys love Smeltz and...

RE: Questions Re: New Hyper 7 PBS RTR

Cranix, do you have pic of your throttle return spring? I have been going crazy trying to figure out where to mount one. I have one on all my other cars, except the Hyper.

Anyone run oval?

I went to the local track yesterday with the intention to run my 1/8 buggy on the off road track, but my car wasnt quite ready. Anyway, they also have a dirt oval they were running sprints and...

RE: Questions Re: New Hyper 7 PBS RTR

Yes, the engine screws are very important to loctite. I know the center diff/brake plate is metal also. I changed quite a bit of my car to pro parts, so I have more metal than before. So, its...

RE: Questions Re: New Hyper 7 PBS RTR

Well, yes its SUPPOSED to be Ready To Run. But with companys cranking them out 100's at a time, they neglect the small stuff. As far as the diffs go, I just cleaned mine and put in silicone oil...

RE: Questions Re: New Hyper 7 PBS RTR

Grahama, he can do all that later if he plans on racing. Remember, he is a beginner. Most of the stuff you mentioned is not nessecary just to get the car up and running. No need to confuse him...

Just ordered a Jammin pipe

They say the sweeping manifold increases throttle response better than the sharp bends of others. But I really like the reinforced stinger. Anyone else run one of these?

RE: speed upgrade!

That's asking for another 12mph at least out of it. RCDriver got 48 out of a stock Hyper7 PCR/RTR. I doubt you will get 60 out of the stock Hyper 8 port, but you can try going to a 15 tooth clutch...

RE: Questions Re: New Hyper 7 PBS RTR

There is some play in your center drive axles that is normal. My brake linkage also hits the plastic shield. I plan on re-doing the linkage, but it hasnt been a problem. Trimming some of the...

RE: Hyper 21 Carb vs OS 20E

In my case, the Hyper 21 is the engine that came in my Hyper7 RTR. So, I didnt go out and buy it, then add the carb. Also, the 8 ports are available for a LOT cheaper than $175. ;)

RE: Hyper 21 Carb vs OS 20E

I bought the 20E at the same time I got my buggy, and never even tried the stock carb. It has been flawless.

camaro, you need to relax. The whole "real car" thing was a joke to hopefully get you to lighten up. Obviously that didnt work. [&o] BTW, a GTX is a Plymouth, not a Dodge. :D

Need a blowup pic of clutch/flywheel

I just got a new clutch/flywheel setup from an Ofna Hyper7 Pro, but need a blowup pic of exactly where all the washers go. The kit must have 8 or 9 of them in there. [sm=bananahead.gif]

Thanks...

RE: which starter box?

Savage_mbx5, you are correct, once the Hyper21 is broken in, the box that came with the kit does work fine. In my case, I did a swap for the Mugen box, so dont have a lot of money in it. But it is...
