Yeap, checked it with the gear up (retracked). It may be fine once I get it checked correctly. It is just to heavy handle by hand.

Just finished my p-40 this evening. Just need to re-check the CG a little closer as I just the did the quick finger lift (boy this thing is heavy compared to what I am used to flying). Looks like it...

Bummer, I already have the muffler installed and have no desire to buy a second one. Hopefully others have already had some flying time on there planes and not had any issues.

What are folks using to extend the exhaust tubes on there jtec mufflers when using a DLE 55? Or, how is the cowling holding up without any extensions?

I ended up creating a small slide for the tailwheel mount to rub against as it retracks in to the opening. Seems to work pretty good but if you hold any rudder the wheel it self wants to hit. I may...

Anyone have to build a tail wheel guide so it retracks in to the fuse without catching the sides of the opening?

Just picked this plane up and starting to work on the assembly. The one wing is a little wavey on the trailing edge but the flap is not to bad. Was curious to what approaches folks were using to fix...

Will the J'TEC Wrap Around Pitts Muffler DL50/55 fit in the cowling with out having to cut any reliefs for it? This is not the Jtec muffler that is listed for the P51/P47.

I have a ZDZ header and it has such a big bend in it sticks out of the cowling. I use to have a custom header built out of tubing from DA but, the motor did not seem to run well with that set up.

I would be interested to hear about the flight performance. I want to put one of these in my 1/4 scale Cub if it does well.

I wish Saito would come out with a 180 gas version.

For those considering the Saito 100, I had one so that is the motor I used. It makes the plane alot of fun to fly.

If I had to buy a motor to put in the plane I would have went with the 82 or...

Flew mine last weekend for the first time. I put a Saito 220 in it and very happy with the outcome. Unfortunately the motor has been sitting around and needs new bearings. I should have them next...

I check with Chief but, they wanted a good amount of money for shipping. I bought a 33% from them awhile back and it was not like that then, but they are all the way across the country...
