RE: Next step from CX2?

Yeah I wouldn't worry about the wall of text. :) I enjoy the in depth replies.

I am a bit torn of whether to jump straight for a 450-size or move through the progression that you did Brandon. In...

RE: Next step from CX2?

I also like the idea of being able to stuff an mSR or mCPx into a wall and come out undamaged or with just a scratch. Just when I think maybe I'm going overboard wanting all these helis, I see the...

RE: Next step from CX2?

Thanks for the reply!

About to head to work so I don't have much time, but I'll say that I'm not sure about what clubs are around me as I haven't really looked. I'm right in downtown Atlanta,...

Next step from CX2?

Hi all! After lurking for a bit I decided to go ahead and ask a few questions of my own...

I'll get right to the chase and say that I bought a CX2 a few weeks ago and have been flying it every...

RE: accidently put in filter oil instead of afterrun oil

if you flood the whole engine, then it wouldn't, and that would be necessary since it probably got into most of the engine. Backplate off is the best way.

RE: accidently put in filter oil instead of afterrun oil

i hope you don't mean with the backplate and everything on. it'll just flood. if it's really a major problem just take out the backplate and rinse it. Better safe than sorry, and backplates aren't...

RE: accidently put in filter oil instead of afterrun oil

shouldn't be that hard, i wouldn't say engine breakdown, just take off the backplate and the carb and rinse it out, it's pretty simple.

Quick fuel question

I just got around to ordering some new parts for my MGT (a driveshaft and a few pins fell out when I was driving in the snow), but my LHS has none of the fuel that I normally use (O'Donnel 20%). ...

RE: Gluing the back differential?

You could use shock oil, but shock oil is way too light, you would notice no difference. Shock oil is typically around 10-100 weight, whereas diff oil is usually between 1000 and 150000 weight. As...

RE: Is it me or is everyone conterdicting them selfs?

Uhh...who uses the drill-start? Many people. Why aren't you complaining that the yank-eliminator and the roto-start are all gimmicks?

Surely the fact that I wrote kind of a lot proves that I'm...

RE: Gluing the back differential?

Well, let me start by saying that I know nothing about that particular RC. So if it goes five miles an hour, or fifty miles an hour, the answers will be different for each case.

Anyways, your...

RE: Is it me or is everyone conterdicting them selfs?

I knew the time would come when I was sick of hearing this, so I think I have to say something now:

Anybody who thinks the MGT is just an overpriced T-maxx is an idiot. I don't understand how...

RE: question about the wheel on my remote

No, I understand that, I just don't understand what purpose it serves...I guess he knew how to take wheels off of radios decades before us newbies.

RE: SLAPMAFRO.com trouble?

Hm, well I'm a big computer geek, and i doubt the speakers are broken, both speakers don't just break at the same time. Try testing the speakers by plugging them into something you know works, i.e. a...

RE: Beat Your Truck trouble?

Right click on the links and download them. How long are you waiting? The files are pretty big, a lot of them over 20 megs, so if it were to play it like your computer is trying to, you'd have to...

RE: RE: Is the Associated MGT Overpriced??

whoa...wait...the hex shaft fits the roto-start? I don't know why I didn't think of that...now I can find a use for my friend's roto-start (his MT2 is pull-start equipped).:)

RE: RE: Is the Associated MGT Overpriced??

Yeah my pullstart didn't snap but it came out. I tried putting it back in and the knots were so lodged in the handle that I had to cut the cord. I had to do this several times which resulted in a...

RE: question about the wheel on my remote

hm...i had an old futaba (magnum jr. or something) and it came off by taking off the little button on the front of the wheel in the center, under which there was a screw.

RE: RE: Is the Associated MGT Overpriced??

If you're looking for ease of maintenence, I'd have to say the MGT as well. Expectations have just outgrown the T-maxx by this point, so I think that you should either look at the Savage or the MGT....

RE: CEN Genesis VS Savage 25(in reply to jefx)

I'm not saying it's a bad truck, it looks pretty sweet to me, I might even consider getting one. Just wondering how they kept costs so low. And I still am unsure about that bumper. Think of jumps...a...

RE: CEN Genesis VS Savage 25(in reply to jefx)

One more thing...would the bumper on that thing even serve a purpose? From the pics I've seen it actually sits behind the front of the wheels. So if you were to hit something head on, instead of the...

RE: CEN Genesis VS Savage 25(in reply to jefx)

Hm...I just have one question: How is this truck going to cost 500 dollars? I'm not saying it's too much, It actually seems like too little. Think about what it comes with...a .46 engine, aluminum...

RE: what is the best monster truck

Have you actually clocked one? I know the mags say 32 or somewhere around there, but I don't believe that. I got into a car with my friend and drove it from the passenger seat, when we got up to 35...
