RE: That funny feeling.

I noticed in researching my ESC that when then battery voltage drops to a certain voltage it is supposed to reduce power to a very low setting to warn you. If you retard the throttle, then it resets...

RE: Freezing Hummingbird Battery?

Freezing your battery before charging will make it more resistant to take the charge, so it will take longer to charge. Freezing it before use will reduce its amperage output, so you may not even get...

RE: Feda "mini" Dragonfly Q's

Is the tail rotor running at all? Could be a bad motor or ESC. Does the tail rotor change speed if you hold it and turn the helo left or right? You said you tried the gyro, what did you you do with...

RE: Control layout...I changed mine

On the Zhen Hua tx you can just swap the middle two connectors on the pcb, then swap the centering spring and throttle friction spring. I sanded the teeth off the throttle friction, reduced the...

RE: A newbie's question about swash plate?

Tweak the transmitter! If you have a cheap transmitter like mine (Zhen Hua), you'll benifit from a little teaking. I sanded the teeth off the throttle friction, reduced the force on the centering...

RE: Complete Heli Newbie has a question!

RE: Dragonfly question

I also have a new Dragonfly and it does the same thing. I believe its due to the friction of the swash plate rubbing the shaft that slows the rotor. I haven't tried it yet, but there is a mod that...

RE: Feda Zhen Hua remote and FMS

Dave,

I've been fooling around with RC fixed wing stuff on and off for about 25 years now, so the throttle on the right stick really messed me up, LOL. I don't think I'd ever get off the ground...

RE: Feda Zhen Hua remote and FMS

Rick,

I checked out my cable and if you can't find one, I think it would be easy enough to make one. The connectors are just a male S-Video and a female 9 pin. Pin connections are as follows:

RE: Feda Zhen Hua remote and FMS

Dave,

I'm using the TrueFlight V.2 that came with the Dragonfly. Not sure about Baud Rates, didn't remove anything(not sure what an Xtal is).
I just swapped my tx over to mode 2 today. Went...

RE: Hand launch blues

One note of caution about flying by yourself. If you should have an accident (plane turns in and hits you, get cut badly by a prop or fuel in your eyes) there will be nobody to help you. Besides...

RE: Feda Zhen Hua remote and FMS

I have the same setup on my tx, no red button or dip switches. I didn't have any problems hooking it up on my 98SE pc. Just installed the program, hooked up the cable and opened the sim. Don't know...

Do Electric Helos Req Lubrication?

Hello everyone,

Been flying fixed wing U/C & R/C on and off for 35 years, but new to helicopters. I just got a FEDA Dragonfly for Christmas. Haven't done much more than tinker with it yet. While...
