RE: Aerohawk help

Simonrscott,

I can't help you out on the fraud coverage outside us.

But the Aerohawk has been a very positive experience for me (I also got mine off ebay from RC-eexpert with no problems)....

RE: HIGHER HEAD SPEED?

Why not just go with shorter blades for outdoor flight?

I'm relatively new, so this is just as much a question as a suggestion. I think it would give you the higher headspeed, but I'm not sure...

RE: Rc-Expert

I got my aerohawk from them also. I watched ebay for the Futaba transmitter and got a good deal from them on the package. I had no problems with them. Got what I expected and got it in the...

RE: How stable is the aerohawk?

Philpop,

Thanks. That makes sense. Have you tried the semisemetrical blades on an aerohawk? If so, how did they work and where did you get them? I'm finally getting reasonbly good at...

RE: anone got an aerohawk to fly?

Douglasbirbeck,

Keep with it. The stock aerohawk really does fly - and pretty well once you get the hang of it. I am new too, and it has taken a while to really get the hang of it, but I can...

RE: How stable is the aerohawk?

Philpop,
I'm relatively new to this. Can you explain what semisemtrical blades are and where would you find them? Sounds like you have tried this with some pretty good results.

Thanks,

RE: Fix those broken Aerohawk Blades!

Thanks Glenn,

I have been seeing all sorts of plastic things around that I have been thinking - "hey, I could make blades out of that" but I hadn't heard anyone doing it, so I was a little...

RE: Fix those broken Aerohawk Blades!

Glenn,

Can you provide any info on how to make your own blades, I have been thinking about this for a while, but haven't made an attempt yet. It seems like it should be fairly simple to make...

RE: AERO HAWK HELI SUCKS

bdesh,
Just want to set you straight a little. I flew the aerohawk out of the box. I am new to helis and it took some time learning, but I fly all stock parts (I didn't want to put any money into...

RE: *Aerohawk Owners Poll*

I responded to the poll, but wanted to put my 2 cents in too.

I have been very pleased with the Aerohawk[8D]. Without it, I would not have gotten into RC heli flying.

I have had one...

RE: Aerohawk tail rotor problem..

Happidog,

The new PCB for the aerowhawk ran me $70 from tedani.com. I have heard cheaper prices, but couldn't find any available at the sources mentioned - part of the problem may have been my...

RE: Aerohawk tail rotor problem..

Another update in case anyone is interested:
I ended up ordering a replacement all in 1 board from tedani.com (I still plan to go seperates eventually, but I thought this would be a quicker way to...

RE: Are they keeping this a secret ?

bobdd,

Can you explain your setup in more detail. Sounds like you found a good way to get seperates with a 4 Ch radio and an inexpensive gyro. Everything I heard said you either need an...

RE: my Aerohawk has come but i need help please

Sounds like you have answers to two of your questions. The remaining question is how to adjust the tail rotor spin.

First try to set the trim all the way to the opposite side before you turn...

RE: Are they keeping this a secret ?

BOBBDD,

I can't help a lot, but this is a good site for help on separates: http://www.helihobby.com/html/separate_electronics.html

I only have the 4 Ch Futaba radio for my Aerohawk, so as...

RE: is it possible to fly with out a gyro until i can get one

Guys,

I'd like to get back in the air, but I'm waiting on a new board right now - Gyro died. I don't blame the Gyro though, I had many crashes that went from lot's of throttle to none to cause...

RE: Aerohawk tail rotor problem..

Guys,

That's a very good idea. I really hadn't thought of it that way, but it makes sense.

Thanks -- I'll be looking for a good buy.

RE: Aerohawk gyro or tail motor?

Both are known problems with the Aerohawk. If the motor is OK, then either the board will look damaged (FET burned) or If the board doesn't look fried, then it is a good chance it is the gyro. One...

I used the adapter that they provided. I think bdic is right that it should work, but definitely watch the temp. From what I remember seeing posted on another thread, a rough guess on...

RE: AeroHawk: Battery Problem?

Sounds familiar. I had the same problem. Luckily, I had an old cordless phone that had a charger with the same size jack and was 9V. It is only 250ma, so I have to charge a little longer, but...

RE: Aerohawk tail rotor problem..

Update,

I mailed to rc-experts to see where they suggest I get the part.
Also emailed tedani.com to see what they can do. This was a site I just saw in the best mico posts from dragon-dude. ...

Randii,

I agree with your comments on the negative posts. I did a lot of reading on the forums before jumping into an aerohawk as my first heli. I knew what to expect going in to the hobby. ...

Vince,

Thanks a lot for the help. I really appreciate it. I eventually want to head down this path - it's just a matter of when exactly I do it, but without your help, I would have made a...
