RE: Sig Giant Kadet Senior ARF

Here is my taildragger conversion. Handles great. Added a block to attach the tailwheel to and operate as a pull pull off the rudder servo.

RE: Best way to Cycle Futaba 6EX Tx Batteries

I used short servo extensions. By soldering I made one with two male plugs and one female plug. Take the back case off the transmitter. Unplug the battery from the radio. Plug the battery into your...

RE: Am I expecting too much....

I once bought a 46 size U Can Do from Tower Hobbies. No damage to the box, but once inside I found the wing broken like someone had snapped it in two at the center section. It was major broken. Had...

RE: Tower discount codes

You might check out OmniModels (next time). A lot like Tower (I suspect they are related) on pricing. Free shipping on orders over $100 all the time.

RE: Receiver battery question

Based on the info you gave, "I" would not be concerned about using the battery - it sounds fine.

RE: Firewall removal

Snacker - I'm putting a Kadet Sr. ARF together right now. I see no need to remove the firewall. To put a larger tank in, I would use my Dremel tool with the flex shaft to get in and modify the...

RE: Kadet Senior/Tips/Modifications

Thanks Checklst - I will probably do the same thing if mine is inverted.
Timothy - yes I have flown many taildraggers. I don't plan to thrash this plane. I have others that I fly hard. This plane...

RE: Your favorite money saving RC stores-list them here and why.

Tower gets most of my RC money. Just got a Kadet Senior delivered to me for $203.98. $224.99 minus $30 (discount code 010NJ) plus $8.99 shipping. Great service too!

RE: Saito .72

It sounds like the engine is performing fine. Try an APC 13 x 6 and see what you think. On my Ultra Stik 40 and U Can Do 46 the overall performance (to me) was always better with the 13-6. Running...

Kadet Senior/Tips/Modifications

I just got a Kadet Senior ARF. Plan to make it a taildragger. Maybe a larger tank for extended flight times. Power will be a Saito 72. Anyone want to share their experience with this plane?

RE: Engine storage oil or not?

I like the Marvel Mystery Oil made for air tools. I think it is formulated to lube and deal with the water commonly found in compressed air lines. Had a Saito 56 sit over two years that was treated...

RE: Favorite magazine for electrics only

I prefer the magazines that give good info that the average person (me) can use. Some of them are more like a subscription to a catalog, and that's not what I want. Thanks for the suggestions so far.

Favorite magazine for electrics only

After a few years of glow & gas planes I have managed to subscribe to several magazines at once. Now electric (sport & 3D) is interesting me. What electric speciality magazine(s) do most of you like...

RE: Great Planes 25% Yak 81" 12-lb, seen on Fly3D Magazine

RE: Great Planes 25% Yak 81" 12-lb, seen on Fly3D Magazine

Tesla 1856,
I run two receiver batteries and two switches purely for my peace of mind. I suspect one 2000 mah battery may suit your needs just fine. I would monitor voltage before each flight and...

RE: Great Planes 25% Yak 81" 12-lb, seen on Fly3D Magazine

Tesla1856,
I bought the same switch you are considering for the ignition cutoff. Don't make the same mistake - it's for non electronic ignition (magneto) engines. I used a receiver battery switch...

RE: Great Planes 25% Yak 81" 12-lb, seen on Fly3D Magazine

Kfoster,
I did use the stock muffler. My rudder servo is in the tail (one Hi Tec 5955). The throttle servo is mounted next to the area where a pull-pull servo would be mounted. Two 1650 mah nimh...
