I've never timed it. Most of my test runs were on a grass baseball field, so I never could sustain full power for long. The surface was too rough, but the car was fast.

because the pump spent two weeks under water from Katrina but the pump section looks fine. I also have another pump where the tab (neg term) broke off right where it goes into the motor, Thats why...

Jetcat fuel pump repair?

Has anyone replaced the motor on their Jetcat fuel pump? I have a bad motor on my pump but I don't want to spend $186 for a new one, so I'm thinking about mounting the pump on a Graupner speed 280...

More economical? NO
...shaft driven turbines are typically much more expensive however A shaft driven turbine could be used but it would complicate the setup.

your right the MHZ tuboshaft does appear to be the only marine application turbine in the works. I would suspect the cost to be around $5K if and when it does become available.

I've seen couple of videos posted online over the past year or so. Don't get me wrong thrust driven will push the hull. but the ones I've seen were not fast did not plane properly nor would they turn...

fuel tanks hold 40oz each. fuel consumption is 7oz per minute at full power. So theoretically I can run for 11.5 min at full power.

Turbine powered boat is next on my list of projects. I just finished a 1/4 scale turbine car.

The hull is a 56" fountain from Performance International. I have not decided which turbine engine...
