Sig Somethin' Extra

Wow! What a fun plane to fly. It does what I tell it to, when I tell it to, everytime. It's heart is an O.S. FS52 twirling a 11x7 prop. Is it ok to put a 12x7 on it? If so, what can I expect? ...

RE: Kyosho Agwagon

If the Agwagon really has been discontinued I wish Kyosho would remove it from their website. They mention starting up Kyosho America in May of this year on their website. Looks like they could...

RE: NEXSTAR ARF .....PROBLEMS...PROBLEMS

My Nexstar always veers to the right shortly after takeoff. It's kinda neat in a way. It looks like I am trying to make it do that. Really consistent every time. I think I will take the cuffs...

Kyosho Agwagon

Kyosho has a Cessna Agwagon featured on their website. I can't figure out how to order from them online. Can someone help me out? BTW, why don't I want one of these planes? Thanks in advance.

RE: Full Scale Cessna172 crash lands at the end of our runway!,,,

And just think, all the pilots in these stories learned to fly with an instructor. Funny you never hear of a plane crash by someone who was self taught.
Maybe one of you guys "shot " the 172...

RE: What gets your scale goat?

There used to be an old man on TV that painted beautiful pics of mountains and such. He would slop paint on a canvas and thirty minutes later he was done. His pics would leave you with the...

Am I doing right?

I am building a TF 182 kit. I have rough sanded the fuse before applying a thin coat of ultralite automotive body filler. Sanded down to almost transparent thickness with 400 grit sandpaper I...

RE: Wow!! Could have crashed my P-38!

My wife, granddaughter, and I were at the Warbird meet as spectators. We were disappointed too that we didn't get to see the 38 fly. We would have really been disappointed to see it auger in. ...

RE: Great Planes 40 Piper Cub ARF w/Saito .91 4-Stroke

I'm using TF 11"x6 props. I want to emphasize props, too. After your first ground loop you will know why. I had to "slightly modify" the motor mount with a dremel tool to make the motor fit...

Stuff

Everyone has stuff that they collect thinking somehow it will be needed in this hobby. I have several small plastic cuplike gizmos that look like miniature crutch tips. Good for putting over the...

RE: Piper Cub takeoff help!

When or if all the above fail, get rid of the rinkydink tailwheel that came with the plane. If nothing else confiscate a wheel off the kids' toys. Before the tail comes off the ground the tailwheel...

Good idea, Diablokid. Yes, I am real. I really admire anyone who chooses to build a kit or from scratch with plans. I don't happen to enjoy that as much as I used to though. It's arfs for me. ...

RE: Why do you fly airplanes?

Great post, Jim Messer. I'll stir the pot a little. Why don't they teach a course in high school about all the things you described about model plane flying? Kids would get a lot more out of that...

I read all the posts on your simple, but somewhat controversial mishap. My contribution to the mess is a question. Have you tried to recreate your crash on a good, computer flight simulator? ...

RE: Great Planes 40 Piper Cub ARF w/Saito .91 4-Stroke

The slimline Pitts will stick out slightly below the engine cowl. The motor will be mounted on its' side. Be sure and order a couple of 4-40 x 1-1/2" bolts too. (Tower part no. LxJ976 I think.) ...

tail traps
