Is it possible to set up an MT2 to drift?

I'd like to drift a nitro off road 4WD stadium truck such as an HPI MT2. I assume if you put ABS tires on it and did a little tweaking it might work out well. Is it possible or am I wanting to do...

RE: GWS P-51 Maiden Flight/Report

Sorry to hear that you're having problems flying the plane. It's a handful for me and I can hover my foamy planes pretty readily. If you consider putting the stuff into a different plane, I'd try a...

RE: GWS P-51 Maiden Flight/Report

I had a similar issue with my maiden. 3/4" in front of the bamboo stick is about right. Balance it upside down or you could get a false reading. I used slightly more than the recommended throws,...

RE: GWS P-51 Maiden Flight/Report

OK it's Saturday and I tried musty for the second time. All I can say is WOW. Flew like a dream. It screamed with a 4.3 ratio 4100-2015 himax and a 9x7.5 apc prop. Very stable and no tendancy to...

RE: GWS P-51 Maiden Flight/Report

I had a bad maiden, but I had the CG 3/4" too far back. I am using a Himax brushless and 3cell lipos. The plane has great performance potential but with the cg that far back I just lost it (tip...

RE: GWS P-51 Maiden Flight/Report

Where did you set your CofG? My first flight was pretty unsuccessful. I set mine up with a himax 2015-4100 4.3/1 gear ratio and 9x7 prop. I used a 3 cell 12oo li-po. It was fast, but really...

How to remove fans from EDF-55s

Anyone know how to remove the fan blades from EDF-55 ducted fans? I want to replace the stock motors with Brushless motors. I was able to remove the set screws, but the fan blades still don't come...

RE: New to flying and need advice.

I'm with big ned. Start with a trainer. I'd go with a slowstick. It's the best electric trainer by far. I started with one in March and I'm only flying foamies now. The 3DX is an awesome plane,...

RE: look out for those paddles

Yes - my LHS told me to remove the main blades before starting it for the first time. So I did. They forgot to mention to remove the flybar paddles and both my flybar paddles went sailing off first...

RE: A-10 Brushless EDF-55's and lipoly batts

You will not damage your motors. I run a himax 2015-4100 with a 3 cell 1200 all the time. With the three cells you probably won't draw more current, but you're already close to the limit on the...

Learning to hover - good advice

I've been flying a lot of different foamies, 3DX, 300 Extra, VTO, etc. But I have been struggling to really hover properly. My LHS told me to prop down from 12x6 on my Himax 2014-4100 (3s1P) to...

OK if I use a toothbrush motor, what tail rotor do I use? Do I use a stock one? If so how do I attach it?

Thanks
