RE: AEROWORKS... ULTIMATE..????

I'm saving my pennies and patiently waiting for the 20-300 that will hoefully come out this fall. I've done a few 50cc Ultimates and now want to make the jump to a bigger Ulitimate -like 150cc!...

RE: New Somenized (TM) 69", Yak-54

I picked one of these up at Joe Nall and have it just about ready to maiden. I have the toe'd in landing gear and hope it doesn't give me too much grief before I get it in the air. It's so bad I...

RE: Ultimate 20-300

Any word on availability and price for the plane yet? It is spring 2008....
BTW, will Aeroworks or a distributor be at Joe Nall this year?

RE: BME Pitts Challenger

On the Hitec servo - I called Hitec and spoke with Customer Service about the failure. No confirmation or denial of any failures, and 'any servo could fail' was the general response. There were hints...

RE: BME Pitts Challenger

The instructions and the covering are certainly issues with this plane, but get past that and it is pretty nice. A couple areas to look out for - the bolts that hold the cabanes on (the ones that go...

RE: OV-10 Bronco 80" ARF

Steve,
Never got it off the ground, although I tried. The engines only had one previous run (in my back yard) and it took 3 takeoff runs to get them to handle full throttle (needle settings)...

RE: OV-10 Bronco 80" ARF

I have one... been futsing around with it for quite a few months. I have 2 Tower 75s in it which should be more than enough power. The big problem with it is the nose gear, specifically the nosegear...

RE: OV-10 Bronco (81" Uravich ARF)

Ed, Don't let the fact that it's covered fool ya. This is the Hobby Hangar 81" model. The scrapes on the cowl are hanger rash (already). The paint overall (cowls & canopy) leaves much to be desired...

RE: OV-10 Bronco (81" Uravich ARF)

Ed,
Sounds great. Maybe I will get up there. I am also finishing up a BME Pitts Challenger that might also like some rarified air :D
What I meant by the hinge line is in the pic below. The rod...

RE: OV-10 Bronco (81" Uravich ARF)

I'm about done with my OV-10 with the same engine setup as you have. It's taken a while because of 3 other models being built and packing for a home move in April. However, my take on the elevator...

RE: Pics of BME Pitts Challenger

I'm putting a ZDZ50 in mine. I hope to have some pics up to show the firewall box mod that allows clearance of the Bisson Pitts muffler. Too many projects going on and with the Holidays its really...

RE: OV-10 Bronco (81" Uravich ARF)

I received the ARF version last Friday (forgot mail wasn't running Thursday). I'll post a pic of the package and contents when my server comes back up. The model is pretty big, and I think the 75s...

RE: OV-10 Bronco (81" Uravich ARF)

When I talked to the guy at Hobby Hangar, he said he has one of the 80-inchers with 90 two strokes in it and it's way overpowered. When I asked about putting the .75 two strokes from Tower Hobbies...

RE: OV-10 Bronco (81" Uravich ARF)

I just ordered mine today. It should be here Thursday. I also ordered two Tower Hobbies .75 2s engines. They are as light or lighter than a regular 61, and with a $20 discount coupon and their...

RE: New Sig Sun Dancer Bipe!

Yup. Had seen that before and was thinking about it. There doesn't seem to be much feedback on how it handles on the ground or in the air. In fact, haven't seen any feedback at all. I also looked at...

RE: New Sig Sun Dancer Bipe!

Guys,
I'm taking a break from the heli scene and am looking for a decent ARF Bipe. I have a ZDZ-50 (not the NG) available. Does it look like this could be fit into the Sun Dancer (it has that rear...

RE: What's the best way to ream a wood prop for a DA-50?

I bought one of those 2.5-5-10-12 mm reamers from my LHS after botching a drill-out on a 20-8 Zinger. I figured the money was well spent, since the Zingers are running $18-25 depending on the...

ZDZ50 Got Yours Yet

The ZDZ 50 is going into a Dario Brisighella Steen Skybolt. I gave the details under the "Engine for a 26% Steen Skybolt" thread in this section.

Got Mine

Just got my ZDZ 50 yesterday. Very nice! It came in after only 2 weeks from when I ordered (not the 10-12 Andrea told me to expect), however the Pitts-style muffler and Megasmoke stuff didn't come...

MB Heads

I think you'll find that you ARE fighting control (actually it tries to control when you are not). I found that the gain had to be set quite low or the heli would try to do unnatural things. My guess...

Multi-blade Heads

David, I am just about ready to put my Agusta in the air (hovered it around the yard yesterday), and I'll put in my 2 cents on MB heads. You probably have as much or more experience as I do, but here...

Mine's being worked on

I ordered mine on the 10th. Andrea sent me a note that they are backordered and are looking at a delivery of 10-12 weeks out. Hope that 'before 2/15' price holds!

Wow! I hadn't seen all the responses until just now. I have been busy packing up a heli and finishing up another (my last scale heli), and ordering parts for the Steen. Talking to Mike at kit...
