RE: Axe CP: Life of motors and usage times

IF you look closely at the motor, you can see the two cooling holes. Mark where the cooling holes are on the heat sink and then just pop it off. I used a Dremel to cut out the two slots. Pop the...

RE: Axe CP: Life of motors and usage times

I would like to thank the person who figured out the cooling mod for the Axe CP.
I just modified the heat sink on mine. I have been practicing hovering from a stand (landing skids loosely tied...

RE: anyone else have this issue?

Just got mine and fired it up to check the blade tracking and found that the paddles were set wrong (one up, one down). Does anyone know how to adjust the paddles?

RE: Throttle Position Question

I have seen people learn on that style of plane when they had a buddy cord and a good flight instructor. If you are able, I would advise you to join a R C flying club near you and have one of the...

RE: Fool on the field

Interference is probably what happened. It sounds like the plane was very close to the person on the field. This could cause planes receiver AGC to lock down (Lower the gain) the first RF amp...

RE: Adhesive backed sandpaper & T blocks

I started using a water soluble glue for my T bars. Just use water on the sandpaper to loosen, finish cleanup with good old dish soap. The glue does take some time to dry though.

RE: What windspeed grounds you?

I fly a J-3, Cessna 182 and a trainer/sport.

Wind down the runway is up to 15 MPH. Cross wind is about 10 MPH for the J-3, 15 MPH for the others.

RE: 72 MHz scanner?

I have a Pro-95 and it can be programed to receive in the 72 mhz band. This is done using a free program called "Win 95." You will also need a cable from the computer to the scanner ( RS 20-289)

RE: Who makes a good "on-board-glow" driver system?

I built one for a Cessna With a inverted 4 cycle engine. It cost about $10.00 and took a couple of hours to set up. It not that hard to do.

RE: Home Made Runway?

You can use a "rotory rake" to loosen the dirt and then roll/pack it smooth. Works great

You should be able to rent one (it attaches to a tractor).

RE: Aileron Throw Trouble

Use a longer servo arm (outside hole) and move the torque rod connector closer to the aileron. This will give you more aileron movement. Adjust as needed.

RE: gummed up motors

I've used WD 40 before and it did a good job. I freed up an old .40FP by putting it down the carb and the glow plug hole and letting it sit for a day or so.

RE: What is a #36 hole? It is in the GP UCD 46 manual

When I drill the nylon filled motor mounts I use a 3/32 drill and then use a 6-32 socket head machine screw to form the threads. It makes a super tight fit and I have not had any back out due to...
