Um actually guys, those are stock traxxas sport maxx rims with panther komodo tires i believe. I may be wrong on the tires but I KNOW those are sport maxx wheels...b/c I have them on my sportmaxx. ...

You do need different bearings. I bought a 16 tooth and an 18 tooth for my sportmaxx. The 20, 18, and 16 ALL take different sized bearings. I don't know about stepping up though.

If you can't get your stock t-maxx 2.5 to yank the wheels on command in first gear, then you can't tune a nitro engine. My sport maxx with aluminum everything (cept bulks) will yank them all day...
