Most of the OFNA diffs were the same size back...

Most of the OFNA diffs were the same size back then. This is just a guess as I have no way to verify this anymore but, I'm almost certain that the X1CRT diffs were the same cases as the Ofna Hyper7...

Spektrum Telemetry - "ROLL OUT" Issue

I tested out the telemetry unit in my Jammin CRT today. The speed in MPH was way off.

QUESTION: When figuring out the roll out, do you use the car's INTERNAL gear ratio (3.3) or the FINAL...

RE: Official Jammin X1CRT Thread

Here are a few pics of my CRT. I love the Novarossi 528. Coming from an OS VSPEC, it's a world of difference. The brakes worried me at 1st. Until I took it to the track for a race, I didn't think...

RE: How tough is JAMMIN

Good tip. I had a tough time with that step.

As for the Jammin breaking often, don't crash.

The 1st hard race I ran, I ended up breaking the right rear hub carrier when I slid sideways...

RE: Official Mayhem Thread

The spur on the mayhem is hardened. You have to make sure that you get a hardened clutch bell also, or this sort of thing will happen. Also, if a hardened bell gets really hot, it will anneal...

No, the picture above are the rear aluminum bulkheads.

I found this on the Horizon website. It's a mistake.

Does anybody have a Sportwerks Part # for these aluminum rear bulkheads?

RE: Official Mayhem Thread

You want to know something weird? I ran the JP1 on my VSPEC in my Prospec and Mayhem. The engine ran really hot (albeit well). With the JP2, I still get the awesome power, but it's easier to tune...

RE: Official Mayhem Thread

I recently purchased a Sportwerks Mayhem Pro (ARR). I am happy with it, having upgraded from a Hyper7 PCR Pro. I do have one issue though; the car handles fine on most tracks but, it could benefit...

RE: Official Mayhem Thread

I know aluminum diff cases for the Losi LST are the same. I was looking at some of the other LST parts/hop-ups, they have 'finned engine mounts' for the LST as an extra. They look the same as the...

RE: XB8 VS MP777 special 1 VS MBX5 prospec

Can you give me the URL of the 'blue prints' on the XRAY site? I'd be interested in seeing them.

RE: MP777 SP1 versus XRAY XB8. Which one?

2 words: Parts Availability

I've only seen 1 shop in the chicagoland area that has a lot of XRAY parts. Every place has a complete wall of Kyosho parts though.

RE: What engines do you have? Which one is your favorite engine?

I have an RB WS7II and the new OS V-SPEC. I run the V-SPEC in my Ofna H7 PCR Pro kit, and the WS7II in my Kanai3. Personally, I think the V-Spec has more power in the low end. I run the PCR...

RE: hate to be this guy

That video has been allover the RC forums. I have it on good authority to let you know that the truck was actually rigged to come apart upon landing. It's fake, but it was cool at 1st.

V-Spec as good, if not better than the WS7II

I see a meat smoker in the mirror..

Yes, the V-Spec is my favorite engine. I have a V-Spec in my K3, and a WS7II in my H7 PCR Pro kit.

The V-Spec is about the same, if not even more...

RE: Hyper 7 PCR

Wow, why this aversion to the lay down servos? I've been placing 1st through 3rd in every Main I run in, and I have definitely crashed and been crashed into horribly. I've never had a problem with...

RE: Vzb Vspec is a monster

Tower Hobbies - OS V-SPEC

TOWER HOBBIES - it's $299.99, then if you use a certain AD# 011VV, you'll get $25 off any order $150.00-$299.99

$274.99 is a great price for this awsome mill IMO!!

RE: OS VZ-B vs. RX21P5 Novarossi

I'm going to guess that the majority of the top racers tune for performance, not temps. It's a safe bet that running ~280 degrees, lean and fast will win you races, and give you the chance to buy...

Detonation/Pre-ignition - Need picture of piston damage.

I was curious to know what the face of a piston would look like if the engine has had problems with detonation or pre-ignition. I'm not really sure what to look for.

Does anyone have a...

RE: Vzb Vspec is a monster

The V-SPEC comes from the factory with the 2 shims installed. The silver thick one, and the golden thin one.

I don't know if this particular engine comes from the factory ready for 30%, or is...

RE: orange/Red Color on my V-Spec piston?

Hey KillTylerDurden, from what I understand, you removed one of the golden shims. The V-SPEC comes with 1 Silver thick and 1 Golden thin shims on the head.

Did you remove a silver or golden...

RE: o.s. v-spec

Hey Toycar, do you run 30% fuel or 20%?

If you run 30, have you added the extra shim that was included with the engine? Steve Pond runs 30% with 8% LUBE with the stock shim setup (ONE thicker...

RE: How do you clean you buggy?

I found the best way for me is to get a spray bottle filled with a denatured alcohol, auto antifreeze mix. Soak the car down, and let it sit. Blast off the crap with an air compressor, repeat.
