RE: Tamiya Twin Detonator

I have mine on 14.4v's. With something this small and light, that's an insane power to weight ratio.

RE: Stripping HPI rims?

It wasn't that the wheels were on there tightly or loosely. I checked mine every run (it happened frequently at the time), but what happened was that I jabbed the throttle before landing (I thought...

Stripping HPI rims?

I know the stock GT5 rims have had a terrible history of stripping. I've managed to strip mine, but I was just wondering if anyone was able to strip the new ones. HPI came out with a series of...

RE: Rims and Tires!

I dont know... if you glued the wheels on yourself, it will probably work... But I couldnt undo the stock glue-job using the boil or bake techniques.

RE: There may be tears

If you cant get it started, your last resort could be to take your truck down to your LHS and see what they can do. If they can't get it, you might be able to get another hobbyist at the store to...

RE: Who has the new 3 speed?

RE: 7.2v Twin Force?

infernalstone: Yeah, the EVX can run a single 550, no extra wiring needed :D.

Just to be clear, I never said anything about two 540's and one pack out lasting two 550's and two packs. My...

RE: 7.2v Twin Force?

bah... you replied before I did. [:'(]

when you run trucks in 14.4v's with 12 cells, the run time will be less than a 7.2 because the RPM's are higher. They have a higher amp draw at...

RE: 7.2v Twin Force?

BL Force: He changed his mind. He said he's going to run 550's on 14.4v outdoors, but only 7.2 indoors and around his small back yard.

Techpriest: Oh man! My bad, i thought you were a kid for...

RE: 7.2v Twin Force?

TXT's have a lower gear ratio. They have more pulling power.

out of curiosity which two have you been looking at? See, there are a few ESCs that can run with up to 16 cells, but its all...

RE: 7.2v Twin Force?

I dont have a TF, but I'm pretty savvy when it comes to electric MT's.

Basically, if you want to run your TF on 540 motors, just put them in instead of the stock ones. Since you need to get...

RE: My 3 speed is on it's way

I agree... although I would like to just swap out the entire tranny and have the two-speed as a spare, I can't cough up 90 bucks, not to mention 130...

RE: What Fuel

I've never run Odonnel's or Blue Thunder or any of that.... But I can tell you that Tornado 25% and Byron Race Blend are by far the best two that I've run. Byron Race might get a bit hot, but it's...

RE: Neighbours Complaining

I live in a building. When I drive outside, there is one apartment that complains... I'm not exactly sure which one it is, but they keep calling the super to tell me to go somewhere else. I usually...

RE: picco .27

As far as I can tell, Picco is the engine manufacturer... That's why companies like Ofna call their engines Ofna-Picco. If Picco was just a distributer, then Ofna can get the engines directly from...

RE: collari or sirio .30?!?!?!

just out of curiosity, what's wrong with the 4.6? It just came out, so obviously your engine is new... why do you want to swap it out so quickly? Is it because the .30's are bigger?

RE: and now a .30 Sirio

I dont mean to jack the thread, but there's a new Picco out by Ofna too. Ok, so it's not as big as the newer engines, but hey... it's a Picco!

RE: MY Home Made Savage Battery Box Mod .... with thanks to the MGT

yeah. It looks like it's on there strong, but ive been hit by other trucks there... that thing has a high chance of getting swiped clean off... If it does, there's no way of controlling your truck...
