RE: mini lst upgrade

just a note on the cutoff with the 1000mah LIPO. I ran mine until I saw the slightest dip in performance, and it was before any cutoff. When I took it home, I had about 12% capacity remaining,...

RE: Mini LST

After having a servo go bad after only a few runs, I didn't want to spend the $40-80 to upgrade servos. The stock servos have plenty of torque, the gears just suck. I considered the metal gear mod,...

RE: Mini LST

I've upgraded the connectors on both batteries to Dean's. The lipo simply outperforms the NiMH stock battery by a long shot

RE: Mini LST

I got my free Lipo from Losi this week. Since voltage on the lipo was only .2 volts higher, I didn't expect much of a difference. However, the difference was amazing! I'd say I have at least 30%...

RE: Mini LST

I took a look at the traxxas connectors and definately like the ribs on them.

I hear you on the shrink tubing as well. I amost always forget at least one when I'm soldering them

RE: Mini LST

I upgraded to dean's plugs over the weekend. I was really surprised by the increased performance. I didn't expect to see a visible difference between the stock micro HPI plugs and the deans.

I...

RE: Mini LST

Well after 5 very tame runs, I had my first servo go bad. I was very surprised how light of use caused its death. I saw the complaints from others, but figured indoor living room running over...

RE: Mini LST

I see, so the times that it has shut down on me, I've always had steering, so it must have been the voltage cutoff. I'm going to be sending off for the free LIPO that Losi is offering - does anyone...

RE: Mini LST

That's great - especially for LIPO usage since burning more than 80% of pack capacity severly limits their useful lives.

RE: Mini LST

By the way, does the ESC have a voltage cutoff on the MLST2? I was playing around last night and did some full runs, but plenty of cool down time and the throttle stopped working right about the...

RE: Mini LST

I got my MLST2 yesterday and ran a pack through it. What a fun little truck, I used to have a Savage, but sold that and moved into planes for the last few years. Now I got a mini to play with over...

RE: I'm back with questions

I'm with Bennzy - how was that bashing? The plastic spur gear works great when you use the paper method to set the gap. Just make sure that you can very slightly rock the spur and clutch bell back...

RE: opinion metal or plastic spur?

One more vote for the plastic spur gear. If nothing else, it is less rotating mass which will improve acceleration. With proper mesh, I've never had a problem

RE: can these gears be too low

I'm going to guess air leak as well. With that engine, 3 speed and the gearing you are running, you should be pulling wheelies like mad.

I'd seal up the engine, and return your carb to stock...

RE: engine problem

I agree that it is the low end needle, but I don't think you can guarantee lean. (though I would bet that is the problem). It could also be too rich causing the engine to flood. Most likely it is...

RE: time for a kit!

I don't think what you are looking for exists.

There are some electric kits out there in your price range, but none of them come with a radio.

Kits only seem to come in the top of the...

RE: Savage X Roll Bar/Handle Set

So my original S-25 died an untimely death with a cracked engine block - is this really going to protect that kind of problem, or is it just to protect the head from getting scratched?

RE: Air in fuel line??

First start by replacing your fuel line. If that doesn't work, then I would recommend the Ofna tank mod which should also solve the half lean issue.

Also - if you have an inline fuel filter,...

RE: shock oil

Team associated shock oil is $3.39 at tower and a bottle is more than enough to do all 8 shocks. For only 3 bucks, why would you ever put an oil that is a total mystery?

Best case scenario you...
