One more, much less important problem. After 60 seconds of continuous hover, my motor slows way down and I lose about a foot of altitude before recovering. Is this normal? Or is my motor abnormally...

Yes. The piccolo and the eco all come with one way bearings. The upgrade on the helihobby site is also a one way bearing.

RE: Direct Drive Tail Motor for Aerohawk

OK, it turns out my hobby shop sold me the wrong item: instead of a GWS direct drive tail rotor, I have a slow-flyer geared propellor. Bloody hell. Well that answers one question, but anything on...

RE: Tail rotor malfunction

Sorry, just read the last few lines of your post. If you're flying inside, remember to turn off anything that could cause interference: I had that same problem, turns out it was just interference...

RE: Tail rotor malfunction

Sounds like a trim problem: adjust the trim setting for rudder control on the transmitter (just push it right). IF that doesn't work, I'm guessing you could adjust the gyro gain (not sure how to do...

RE: Flybar control rod/ rotorhead problem

Thanks, although I haven't ordered the motors from the urls posted. I am simply too lazy and want to fly (also there was a slight problem of not having any soldering iron, or indeed any kind of...

JR XP6102 PCM or Futaba 9 Channel PCM 1024ZA

Hi,

I've recently come across the opportunity to buy a Futaba 9 Channel 9ZAS/WC2 for a (relatively) low price of about $500 CAN. I'm a newbie to the hobby, I have only one micro-helicopter and...

OK: new problem. I charge battery, put it in the battery case, clip the battery to the heli, turn the transmitter on, check to see if the throttle is set to zero on the transmitter, plug the battery...

So got it fixed by the good ppl of my local hobby shop (Jet Hobbies is the ****, (da) BOMB, and the MAN): they replaced the rotorhead with an Aerohawk one, and flight trimmed it for me as...
