Extending exhaust tubes?

I'm putting a g62 in my Bud Nosen P-47. Using the Bisson wrap around pitts muffler, the tubes are about 3/4" short of the cowl outer surface.

What is this Engine?

I received this engine in a package deal with a Bud Nosen giant p-47d in the mid 80's . I have no idea what it is and figured some of you veterans might be able to identify it.
