RE: rb or vspec

I would go with RB any day. I had a V-spec, but true to form and as others warned me, it didn't last very long, possibly 2 gallons before starting to behave erratically and then losing power. On the...

RE: Hyper St Pro vs All Truggies(RC8T, Losi 8t 2.0, ST-RR, Jammin)

Sorry for the delayed reply mate, been away on holiday in South Africa for 2 weeks with no internet access.

With mine I milled the chassis extensively, still very strong, slapped on some carbon...

RE: Hyper St Pro vs All Truggies(RC8T, Losi 8t 2.0, ST-RR, Jammin)

I've lightened my Hyper ST, now my son's, by about 230 grams in total. This made all the difference in the world. I now race a Losi 8T 2.0 and before that an Xray XT8.

I am quicker with the...

RE: OFFICIAL 8ight-T 2.0 Thread

Sorry mate, but that's a no brainer, the Losi will win every time. I know quite a few guys who used to race the X2, but once they tried the Losi, changed over and haven't looked back. In fact, one of...

RE: Official Hyper ST thread!!

Hi Mate

Stick with the Truggy, much better choice, easier to work on and handles better. As for the steering, this is one of the best, if not the best, steering truggies out there. I would look...

RE: the hyper st PRO thread!

It will all fit in fine, but my recommendation would be to gear it up to a 16T CB as this engine is a torque monster. With a 14T CB, you will find the bottom end virtually...

RE: new XT8 Vs. LOSI 2.0

I am led to believe from one of the Xray drivers that the new XT8 is a lot better than the old, just by shifting the weight balance around, they have made a much better truck.

Having said that, I...

RE: st-rr vs losi 8t 2.0

Very very true. It's not all the driver though, mostly but not all. With my 2.0, Iimmediately took two seconds off my previous best lap times compared to the XT8 once I got around how to drive it.

RE: the hyper st PRO thread!

Get yourself the Hong Nor Super Big Bores from the X1 / X2. Much more consistent and lighter than stock.

Email me the links and I'll tell you if they are or not.

RE: the hyper st PRO thread!

You can get the Hong Nor 38mm flywheel, that is the biggest I have tried.

RE: the hyper st PRO thread!

You need to fill it with oil, clean out all the grease and whack some 10k oil in there. You will need the assembly tool, which is a bit of rubber which blocks the screw holes and prevents the oil...

RE: the hyper st PRO thread!

Hey Mate

The Hyper ST is all metric thank goodness.

As for engines, get yourself a good 28 or even a good 21. Not sure of prices on that side of the pond, but an LRP 30 might be a good bet...

RE: the hyper st PRO thread!

With the Hyper ST, I have lightened mine substantially. It's now just a little heavier than a X2 CRT. The Hyper ST is still a competitive truck. I was quicker with my ST than I am with my XT8 and am...

RE: the hyper st PRO thread!

The new Picco P7R Evo is an amazing engine, loads of bottom end and awseome run times. I did find the bottom a little too strong sometimes and changed the throttle exponential to smooth it out. I...

RE: the hyper st PRO thread!

The 12.5 kgs is a lot quicker and will be strong enough. My Ace DS1015 that I use is the same and is plenty for my Hyper. You really need the steering speed when racing.

Unfortunately, I do not...

RE: the hyper st PRO thread!

K, with the Mac, try and use the Mccoy MC-9 plugs, I found these work a treat on these engines. Forget about the boost bottle, you gonna get not much return for a lot of work. If you need more power,...

RE: the hyper st PRO thread!

And get yourself the JP-4 pipe rather than the JP-2. Much better overall pipe and better on fuel too. It also seems to work with virtually every engine we have tried it on, so good for when you need...

RE: the hyper st PRO thread!

Hey guys, got 18 sets of Hyper ST carbon fibre towers and chassis centre braces.

Saves around 90 grams off the weight of the truck, which lowers the centre of gravity for better handling and...

The one and only Ofna kit I have had the displeasure of using was...
