Have the throttle and trim as low as they will go. Check that throttle channel is plugged in the correct way. Check that there's no throttle hold or throttle cut turned on. Check the monitor screen...

You'll like the 40 size. I build one about two years ago from plans. It's a fairly easy and quick build. I have a os 40FX on it. Gives it good power. A 60 will be a monster.

I would skip the Nano s3 and go with something like a OMP m2. I have the Nano s3 and not very impressed with it. For a step up the Oxy 4 Max with 380 blades is a great helicopter.

Don't have answer on how to know it there's oil mixed in fuel. I would be to cheap to throw it out. I would add oil to it then mix it with your known good mix a small amount as you fly. Like a gallon...

If you lost signal and had failsafe set for low throttle the plane wouldn't be able to do 3 loops. More likely complete power was lost.

It should work good for you. It's what I use for both planes and helicopters. You have the choice to use spektrum flight controllers most have forward programming you program from the transmitter....
