www.macqc.com sells the 60" tubing for about 20bucks plus shipping. I get 4-15" boom for my crazEtail 2 out of it. probably only 3 for stock boom(which was close to 18" I believe) they do...

for some reason, (I think due to coming from airplane), I tend to hit my tail more than anything else, when I started out. Something about pulling out of trouble. ;) I no longer have that problem....

you need to upgrade to CF crutch when you go to ti boom. did not have any problem with crutch breakage with choppa or ballistic crutch. (crashed hard enough to ben main mast by 1")

you need to find 7/16" welded titanium tube. if you go with seamless, most of them are soft annealed,so they are more likely to bend. I've used 1/2" ti tube from mcmaster carr www.mcmaster.com ...
