If you want to stay simple and reliable I would recommend Spring Air 101HD's. Easy to set up with only one air line (air up, spring down), retracts come down if you loose air for some reason, and the...

I never use adhesive; too hard to clean off later without damaging the retract's air nipples. I use safety wire, .015 soft stainless.

Based on advice from joeflyer I used a plastic juice bottle for the tank. I think it was around 65ozs and came from the local Kroger. I used fuel can fittings (Du-Bro I think) for the connections. ...
