I had the same problem for a while - the ignition unit was faulty. Swopped it with one off my second engine, problem gone. The spark on the faulty unit is very weak so does not work well.

Yep, I noticed the badly done glue job. This is not uncommon though. I have done several ARF's this year, mostly by big name companies, and they all needed regluing. Seems there is either a shortage...
